  • What is a teasing comb? Is it any different than a regular comb?

  • the third bun looks stuiped..and its not a bun:S just saying

  • that last one looks like you just survived an automobile accident.

  • adorable decolletage.

  • oh my god...you're a genius...the third bun looks so much harder than it really is

  • you're supposed to have long hair for the third "messy bun" look which im not sure is a messy bun look in teh first place.. the ORIGINAL japanese hair guru who first posted that look on youtube had extremely long hair and thus was able to pull that off much better.

  • where is the messy part.?? did i miss it when i fell asleep.?

  • no offence, but this doesn't look good.

  • @chloeehodson It's not suppose too. It's a messy bun.

  • @chloeehodson Haha. Jk. It's looks horrible.

  • are you aware of what a messy bun is? you've not demonstrated a messy bun in this video, at all..

  • you know, chinese people white black clothes and white flowers to funerals. this totally reminds me of that

  • @musicjunkieism Your grammar is really bad and hard to understand...

  • @StrawberryKoiVintage i barely even understand a single word haha!!

  • @StrawberryKoiVintage

    Woow, dat sounded preety rude!

I do agree wiv u but I am sure U cud have sed it in a nice way!

  • @musicjunkieism

I agree, most Asian woman wear white flower funeral. But Western woman wear white flower to wedding.

    Anyway, she's look great!

  • Do you think you could try a couple of Pride and Prejudice inspired looks?

  • wtf are u wearing??? it looks like ur going to a weding!

  • this arent that messy, these are nice. i'll take them into consideration (:

  • great vid, really helped me get some great hair ideas and tips, thx a lot

  • The last one was a bit beehive-y for me, but the first two were very helpful. :)

  • @mariefranz13 I guess it's a matter of opinion, because if a hairstyle is not combed and sleek, to me, it's messy. lol I think that's a more old fashion outlook, because years ago these hairstyles would have been unnacceptable because they are so messy :P

  • you're so pretty ;) and helpful (Y)

  • you're beautiful :)

  • Ah, loved them! Quite helpful, thanks. =] You're so very gorgeous! You hold a resemblance to Imogen Heap.

    Anyhow, thanks!

  • your voice is so sweet! and you make it look lovely and easy, im trying this tomorrow :)

  • Cute outfit and love the hair! You kind of remind me of Eva Green, you are so gorgeous!

  • love the bra

  • Oops... lol

  • me too!!

  • Your hair is so so pretty! I loove these- i always use that first one! Thanks, I keep looking for new hair looks!

  • ooo, i love the chopstick one.

    great jobb <3

  • i do love these styles, please keep them coming.

did you get my request message (in your inbox)? :)

    love it x

  • Thank you! And I sent you a reply to your message through email :))

  • Thanks for the cute ideas :) Could this work for chin-length hair? Because I can still put my hair in a ponytail, so I was wondering if it could work.

  • It might come out a little differently, but I think it will look just fine, especially since you will be going for a "messy" look :))

  • that is SO CUTE!!!!! I LOVE YOUR METHODS!!!!

  • Awe, thank you honey :)

  • Nice video, but if you tease you're hair like that too often it will get damaged, just so you know :)

  • It really just depends on your technique, just so you know :)

lol, I've been doing it a very long time, once to three times a week... I have absolutely *no* damage to my hair. I am very careful when it comes to the backcombing, and do more "volume-izing" than anything... SO, rather than ratting up the hair, I simply "push" the hair to build up height.

  • i love the last bun!! although my hair is super long and curly, i'm gonna try to figure out how to do it.. =) Keep more videos coming.. love them!

  • AHHH yes finally a tutorial on how to get these darn chopsticks to stay in my hair!!

  • Awe, hehe, that's awesome - thank you :)

  • doesnt teasing hurt your hair worse then heat damage??

  • Only if you using a bad technique for teasing. Instead of "ratting" your hair, you should simply back comb with little pressure so that the hair is creating volume beneath the smooth layer.

  • love it x

  • I've never teased before. Isn't it hard to brush out?

  • It CAN be... it all depends on your method of teasing, and it takes practice. Now that I think about it, I might a a video... but if you ever try to tease your hair, experiment to get a good feel of it. The goal when backcombing/teasing, is to just sort of "lift" the hairs, and PUSH them towards the root area, rather than causing extreme damage by breaking the hairs. Usually all it needs is three stokes: 2 strokes half way down and 1 stroke all the way down :)

  • The beehive inspired bun is absolutely gorgeous, i have been looking for a tutorial for this one for a while now, its a bit fiddly but worth it.

  • thank you for your video

  • I Love Love LOVE your videos. This one was my favorite - but all of them were great. Please post more - Could you show some more using accessories?

  • i love the chop stick bun, as im not very good at these things i have needed to pin it in a little to make it last. this is a life saver, im going to a wedding do tonjght and really needed something like this x x x thank you x

  • I can see both races in you hehehe I'm half irish half hispanic and I look like, 100 percent hispanic besides the whiter-ness of my skin. But in the summer its better.

  • Awe, thank you! And I definitely know how that's like... I get just as many freckles with my tans :(

  • thank so much for the chopstick trick, I always put the chopstick through the knot and twist w/ putting it though the hair first and it never held up.

  • Thank you! :D

  • Np :P and thnx!! <3

  • Omg, cutest cardigan ever!! Where did you buy it? I love it!! :D Great viedo btw! <3

  • Awe, thank you! It's actually just a cheap little cardigan I got on sale at Wetseal... they always have one's like this there :)

  • your very pretty and i love watching your videoos:)

  • Awe, thank you so much =^_^=

  • Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I've always struggled on putting my hair in chopsticks!

I always thought you needed to use a rubber band with it, But this is way easier!!!

    Thank You!

I tried on this hairstyle today, and it was fabulous!

  • You are very welcome!!! :D

  • I love your voice. You are very easy to listen to.

  • Awe, thank you so much ^_^

  • that last one was gorgeous :D hopefully this works on really long hair too.

  • wow, you look totally white!

Ive also seen many who look totally asian too. Im half Japanese, and I guess I'm one of the few ambiguous looking ones out there...(TT)

  • I really do think I look Japanese too, as well as white, I think my pale skin effects people's perception of me... but either way, it always hurts my feelings when people say I look "only white" :'(

  • Sorry for that.. I'm just used to many friends of mine who tend to be rejoyced when people think they are pure white... Im happy to see someone with Japanese pride!! but either way, you are very pretty!

  • Awe... thank you ^_^

  • wow they are very cute=) and simpl non of those complicated styles i love them all=) cant wait to try them=) its great what your doing...

  • Thank you so much for both comments! You had such wonderful things to say, that really made my morning! ^_^

Oh, and I am so glad that you could learn from my teasing techniques! Take care! :)

  • Weird I stumbled across this on accident and watched the whole thing. I learned a lot of new things from this video. How to tease my hair. I am a 17 year old guy, and I learned how to tease my 3 inch hair :) I like how you respond to all the comments on here, it is really refreshing to see that. I like it, good job on umm...teasing your AND my hair ;) Lol.

  • that is ssssssooooooooooooo cooooollll

  • hi, can i have help,

I have a roundish, squarish face, very fine straight, blondish, redish hair. what would be good bangs/fringe for me? and how would i describe it to my hairdresser??

  • I would imagine that a *slightly* layered side bang would be best, and most versatile - reaching the cheekbones. Describe it as that, and the hair dresser should understand :)

  • Thanks so much xx

  • awesome , i love the 1st look :)

thanks , you really helped me

  • I'm glad, thank you so much!

  • i love ur outfit :]

  • I need a hairstyle for school. I usually go to school with my fringe clip up and i'm wearing specs so when the fringe is too long it will be ugly when i put down. And my face is long not good for proof whatever it call. Please help..

  • If I were you, I would sweep my bangs to the side and pin just behind the ear. Make sure the bang is rounded. Part it on the side will make your face seem slight rounder... and the soft lines will make you look more feminine :)

  • Heavens, you look just like you've jumped from a 1940s Kodak and into the modern world. :)

  • Thank you :)

  • Hey I have really long very curly hair (think shakiraish) and I am running out of ideas on how to put it up! Could you help?

  • Wow all the styles are really pretty! Thank you! :)

  • I wish you could style my hair for my sister's wedding lol I'm in the bridal party and I have no clue what I'm going to do with my hair yet. You are awesome! thanks for sharing this vid :)

  • Awe, I wish I could help!! :( Just try to keep it simple... that's best, for time and to keep your stress-level down :)

  • These videos are so nice I just stumbled upon these looking for a new thing to do with my hair, this is neat!!

  • Thanks! That's wonderful! ^-^

  • Well, I find it a little bit too sophisticated for me.. but it look pretty.

  • WOW

that chopstick one would totally not work with my hair....i have too much hair and its really thick and really straight :/

    either way it looks nice!

  • No way! I have Asian mixed with German hair, it doesn't get any thicker or straighter that mine! I totally think you can do it, with a little practice ;)

  • i love love love the third style!!thank you so much for showing us.

    xxx

  • My pleasure ^_^

  • I'm going to say "no", but hey, what do I know either ^_~

  • Beautiful model!!!!

  • I've always wondered how to make the chopstick stay... thanks so much!!!

  • the last one was very cute ^_^

it helped a lot thank you =]

  • Glad to help!! ^-^

  • I love your hair. It is so gorgeous. You're very pretty too!

  • Thank you! ^_^

  • i absolutely adore your style

  • Thank you!

  • Your welcome!

  • i love all your hair tutorials, but i have short, straight-across bangs. do you have any ideas to how i could make the looks still as cute without pinning them back?

  • With all three looks, I would just leave your bangs out! I used to have blunt cut bangs, and that is what I did. If you like, you can even give your bangs just a *slight* wave, for texture ;)

  • what are blunt cut bangs?

  • Short and straight across... with little or no layering :)

  • What are bangs!?

    sorry im british.

    ^_^

  • I think they are referred to as "fringe" in most other countries ^_^ (I just mean the front section of hair)

  • wow ur so pretty

  • Thank you! =^_^=

  • Wow it was good.

I liked the first one alot very simple yet very good.

i knew the second one and the last one was kinda hard but very pretty too.

Great job, and thanks for soving my weekend hair problem :]

  • Thank you, so glad to help! ^_^

  • thank you sooo much for this video! it helped a bunch. i've been trying so hard to make a messy bun and i havent gotten it until today, so thanks!

and by the way, you are gorgeous! :)

  • Thank you so much!!! ^_^ And I'm so happy I could help <3

  • Wow, I love the first bun! It is really gorgeous, and the flower makes it really great as well. Thanks for your videos!

  • Thank you =^_^=

  • well~thank you~ kiss you~

  • Great! But my chopstick one keeps falling out! D:

  • LOve it! Thanks so much!! :)

  • You are welcome! ^_^

  • Aya! These are indispensible, thank you very much!

  • Thank you! ^-^

  • Wow, all three of these buns are sooooo cute. I can't wait to try them out! ^_^

  • Good luck! :D

  • Thank you! I've finally learned how to do the chopstick bun!

  • I really like these looks, I'll have to try them. My hair is long and I'm always looking for new ways to style it. :D

  • That's great, good luck! o^-^o

  • aww thanks, it's great~

  • The first messy bun is really cute. But somehow I just can't get it right.

The bun is either too neat or too messy. It becomes so messy that it drops.

    Anyways, great job:)

  • Perhaps you need more bobby-pins? Or, if it comes out too neat... leave it as is, just gently tug at the hairs and it will surely make it messier :)

  • nice tutorial.. thank u soooooo much :)

  • You are very welcome! ^-^

  • This is absolutely adorable Aya. <3

  • Thank you, Rei-chan =^_^=
