I have just really started cubing, so i don't think I can even do one yet. But, I can count card very well=) (around 4-5 decks, mostly 100 percent accuracy). I will post a video as soon as I can convince my parents to get me a camera, or recorder thingy. And yes, I am not 28 years old, my profile thing is messed up.
Oh, and I don't really get the BLD tutorials on youtube. I know the beginner's method that can with the cube and I understand basic F2L. Could you please explain how you do BLD? THanks
nah, there's no need to wait until you try bld. I tried bld before i was sub-2 (minutes!). BLD cubing helps understanding the cube a lot and i think it's worth learning it. And if you can memorize 4 decks, it will be easy to memorize a cube (which contains of 20 "cards").
i just use random images, like tables, chairs, planes and stuff like that.
I read at your youtube channel, that you can memo a 4x4 in 2:30. Is that just a theoretical value (eg. 100 images with 2 images/s => 50s memo). If it's real, you should post a video. Now! :P. My PB for the 4x4 is about 2:40, but i'm usually above 3 minutes.
I really have to get into memorizing decks of cards. I hope i can improve my memo times that way, cause they suck.
semi-theoretical, because it's like memorizing a little over 1 deck of cards. 4 centers*6, 24 edges, and 8 corners=56 for just pieces. I visual memo orientation of corners, which I get out of the way first, so that requires basically no thought. 1 deck of cards is done by world champions in like 30 seconds, and because I'm no expert, and a deck takes around 2:30 for me, and I have memo'd a 4x4 showing that I can, it's semi theoretical.
To continue on, I would put up a vid of 4x4 bld, but execution for puzzles bld is a HUGE problem for me. The part about the world champion deck memorizers, that shows that memorizing x number of values in that much time is possible with the loci method, and that I'm not just bs'ing. It takes 2:30 to get everything in place in my location, but I usually go over it to make sure I have it all down. So 2:30, again, is semi-theoretical. Does that help paint a better picture for you?
