  • i dont really know about malaysia

but u can come 2 China and go 2 the traditional music instrument store whr u can buy a good one, and there are schools and tutors which u can learn it

  • Beautiful music!

  • wa skills sia

  • Music like Send me a Rose and this song have quite middle eastern influence to the song. Mostly, Chinese instruments evolved from Middle Eastern instruments due to the silk exchange for strings on the Silk Road. Pretty awesome, yeah?

  • wish they could create something to replace cellos and bases in the Chinese orchestras though. :/

  • they have. what do you call la ruan and da ruan?

  • The middle eastern component of the music, was lost for most of pipa's history, only recently has the pipa been used for middle eastern style music. The pipa is now characteristically chinese and the original mid-east instrument from which the pipa was derived, has gone extinct in the middle east for many hundreds of years.

  • Kewl. Great job!

  • 龜茲 is in central asia, central Asian Music had a profound influence in Tang Music as well as those in succeeding dynasties and eras.

  • 華音 was titled though, it sounded like of central asia.

  • Hi, bossa,

    ni hao,

lovely, it is really great. as an old chinese taoist/buddhist this pipa music is really music to my ear.

I tried to download it but cannot be done. have you put a "block" on it??

  • Does anyone know who the artist is? I want to buy some CD's. Tx

  • this woman i think use to play for the central chinese orchestra. one of the best pipa players in china.

  • I love how it sounds a little like a sitar but yet it's not. Nice blend.

  • the same spirit that pervades the classical guitar. How true and beautiful it is to note that we are all ONE HUMAN FAMILY!

  • Impressive grace and skill. I love how this piece really shows off just how vast the sustain and range is on this instrument. For so long I have heard and viewed such "boring" pipa performances, finally something so enchanted and full of drama/imagination. Thank you for this post!
