I think the reason Shadow didn't go Super in Heroes is because he didn't remember how yet. If he regains his memory of being Super in the pre Space-Gadget scene it makes sense he went super in the Last Story. If that isn't canon though, he still witnessed Sonic do it at the end of Heroes and copied him (like how Sonic learned Chaos Control from copying Shadow. meh)

Griffith's Shadow voice is a helluva lot better than his Sonic or Jet voice in most games, (though I'll admit he's actually gotten better as Sonic in the last couple of games, Unleashed and Black Knight) although I still prefer Humphrey.

Shadow didn't go super because Sonic, Tails and Knuckles had to work as a team- Sega must have felt that teams had to be consistent all the way through...

Shadow had to stay with Rouge and Omega so none of the team chemistry would be effected...

About the three teams fighting Metal Madness: I'd always thought that they were all fighting at the same time, but you controlled one team at a time because there was no possible way you'd control all three effectively. It might work, too, considering they all fight Metal Madness from a different side/platform.

I don't think there's just cliche in 3D Sonic games. Sonic has been flying, in Super, at giant stuff since Sonic 2. It too had a last episode/story/zone. I do think that around 06 and Heroes, it got stale. I'm glad it wasn't in SatSR.

I was thinking of having my main antagonist, Night Tooth (a shadow power saber toothed cat) to be using Eggman to re-build him and empower him beyond what Eggman could do alone. Great commentary. I do have to say that every Sonic game has had you as Super flying at some giant thing to kill it, except the very first one. It's in every game if you think about it. Just as in every Mario game(except RPGs)the last boss will be Bowser.
