  • I would rather go through a snowstorm/blizzard than a tornado,earthquake,volcano eruption,tsunami's,etc. you people have it good..

  • I'd love to visit NY in the snow :)

  • Every day I'm shoveln

  • it's so beautiful. i want to be in new york now.

  • Just want to say I abolsutely love your videos of all these snow storms. The quality is amazing and I like the fact you don't put any music to it. You just show the natural state of the streets and weather as it is. I actually like this kind of weather and I've been watching these often. Good work!

  • umbrellas in the winter time????COME ON NOW!!! its only snow ppl, gettin snow on ya aint gonna hurt ya!! pussy wimps!!

  • @weiserbud67 Agree 100%! LOL...never could quite figure out why people use umbrellas in snow. Rain, yes...snow..no. Thanks for watching

  • @tornadovideostock Beacuse of the fact taht snow melts on your clothes and has the same effect as rain....

  • @weiserbud67 ikr! but i think pple use umbrellas cuz the snow melts and gets the clothes wet? idk

  • @hulachick321 you`re right,i never thought of that. good thinking mate! :)

  • @weiserbud67 ty <3

  • @hulachick321 anytime :)

  • @weiserbud67 Most likely tourist. I'm from New York and I don't even use umbrellas when it rains =)

  • @weiserbud67 well for one it gets in your hair then when you go in side it melts and you have a wet head.

  • But yes I dont and I still dont think its a big deal

  • @weiserbud67 - How is it your business? You don't use an umbrella in snow, we get it. Why do you give a fuck if other people do? YOU sound like the fuckin pussy

  • @jonnyghoul go fuck yourself!!

  • @weiserbud67 Snow is still wet when though. Enough snow beating against your legs can cause hypothermia because your cloths still do get wet when that stuff melts on you.

  • WAIT. ERRR.... THE GIRL THAT CAME OUT FROM THE TAXI... WAS SHE BAREFOOT ?!

  • @Shititude Ha ha I doubt it, my guess is that she had on one of those pull on slippers or something. So many women walk around in the snow with shoes that are totally inappropriate for the weather conditions lol

  • Wonder I wonder wonder wonder...lol my first one here...lol

  • OMG..I was in NY visting when this blizzard struck. I was staying up in Monroe NY. Never knew there would be clips of the storm on youtube.

  • @yaadiebwoy Glad you enjoyed the video! We'll see what this upcoming winter has in store for us

  • @MyScissorObsession We've certainly had a lot of it the past few years! Hoping for some more good ones this winter! Thanks for watching

  • I love it , snowy weather is my favorite , i can not stop watching your videos ^_ ^

  • @mnightsky Really happy you have been enjoying my videos! Thanks for watching...hoping for more snows this winter season

  • I want there to be a huge storm in Scotland this year! <3

  • hot summer cold winter that's the kind of weather i was looking for! :D

  • Great Video, i love NYC and the weather coming from Scotland im used to, but that videos reminds me of a good few times we have been to the City, and that was the weather, love it!!

  • @chaz1202 glad you enjoyed the video! We had another, bigger storm in December of last year! That one was pretty fierce! Hope you can make it back to the city again soon. Thanks for watching

  • so beautiful <3

  • Really awesome video :-) New York is amazing and my dream is to visit and maybe live there, unfortunately I live far away :-( Thanks for the video :-)

  • @lolany92 Y/W and thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you'll get here to NYC one day!

  • I love NY, and snow storm in NY, is very romantic, good video, from Portugal.

  • @fjsf71 Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching and all the best to you!

  • I cant wait for the snow to come back to record! :D

  • @The2Coolest2 It will be here soon enough that's for sure!

  • I would love to live in NYC

  • @omgnotaflake It's certainly an interesting place, and it's been my home my entire life. All though I do enjoy "getting out" every once in a while lol. Thanks for watching

  • Just proves you can't keep people indoors. Once it was flooding in my town and I was out shopping, even though the parking lots were flooded. :-)

  • @AlenaJolie This is true lol, especially in NYC! Thanks for watching!

  • This is why i'll never live back east again

  • @PrayerCoach Ha ha yeah I can understand that.

  • Dear lord . You guys are just geting stuck with this stuff.

  • @MissWWE20 Ha ha yeah the Christmas weekend blizzard was even worse! Crazy times indeed around here :)

  • Man i cant believe it snows way more in nyc, here in Toronto we barely get any snow.

  • @thelazyman34 Usually it's you guys that are getting pummeled! Not this winter though..Thanks for watching!

  • @tornadovideostock Cool vid, but your comment that we 'usually are getting plummeted is totally not true. The last time we had 30 cm, 12 inches for u dudes was possibly 7 years ago, and that was the most we got, it seems like you guys get a blizzard every year, i dont think ive ever seen a blizzard here in Toronto lol.

  • @thelazyman34 Well what do you know! I had no idea it has been that long for you all! WOW! Well I have to say that I am thoroughly sick of winter and would like spring to make an appearance for a change lol!

  • Does it always snow in february in NY and is it warm/hot there in February?

  • @elitecssplayer Yep, February is the dead of winter here for us in the northeast and the USA as a whole. So cold and snowy conditions can be expected for sure! Thanks for watching

  • @tornadovideostock : Oh, what is the average temperature for all of February? In 2012 im doing a NY trip with my school with EF (EDUCATION FIRST).

  • @elitecssplayer The average temperature in February for NYC is around 40 F during the day, and the upper 20s for the most part at night. Definitely one of our colder months. But, those average temperatures do climb a bit towards the end of the month

  • @tornadovideostock : Thanks for the information, come to think of it, what a stupid month to go for a tour.

  • @elitecssplayer Ha ha yeah not the best month to pick, but I'm sure you'll still have a great time!

  • @tornadovideostock : Yeah it's going to be great!

  • NICE VIDEO YOU HAVE SOME COOL SHOTS...HEY I JUST POSTED A COOL SNOW VIDEO I SHOT IN STATEN ISLAND ON MY CHANNEL czarproductions1... I ALSO HAVE SHORT FILMS AND MUSIC VIDEOS I DID..SUB AND COMMENT AND I WILL DO THE SAME THANKS!!!

  • @hockeyteen99 Yeah, not exactly worthy of that distinction, lol.

  • I live in baltimore, we got 18 ninches of snow, over the 30 inches of snow we got 5 days earlier.

  • this winter there has been 3 major snowstorms and another one for tuesday

  • @legoguitarman3 Yep, definitely been an active winter so far! It's looking like a mostly rain event for Tuesday at least in NYC. Might start off as some snow, then freezing rain turning to rain. Gonna be a mess sure sure! Thanks for watching!

  • This is the most common condition for winter Moscow)

  • @ShipOK2 Yes definitely! Moscow winters are much more brutal for sure. Thanks for watching!

  • great editing but I've seen far worst blizzards.

there was one in 1996 and there was a state of emergency and city cars excluding emergency and ulity were allowed to drive.

  • excellent footage .... !!! don't live in NY anymore, but still missing it - even with all that snow, wish i was back again ... 5 stars

  • @FoghornLeghorn1116 Glad you enjoyed the video!! Last year was definitely a snowy one without a doubt. Hope you're able to make it back to the city at some point. All the best to you and thanks for watching

  • @FoghornLeghorn1116 there is another snow storm on sunday i cant wait

  • @JaradMoney It was looking that way but unfortunately now the models have trended away from that happening. No worries though, winter technically isn't even here yet so there's still plenty of time!!

  • @FoghornLeghorn1116 where you live now?

  • nyc, staten island in particular had an amazing year last year. hopefully this year will be a repeat!

  • @mattmatt4ever I hope so too! It was definitely an interesting winter, no doubt about that. I could go for another big snow storm or two...hehe. Thanks for watching!!

  • your video is great. Im going to NY next feb 17 for a week I hope I can enjoy some snow overthere!!

  • @eusoj24 I hope so too!! All the best to you, hope you have a great trip and I hope there's some snow for you too when you get here

  • @eusoj24 wow have a good time you shud go to times square its awesome at night

  • @ZProGamer Agreed! Times Square is great at night!

  • nice

  • Hey great vids look at my first vids they are all the snow storms im on brooklyn wow it was crazy very nice

  • In staten island we got 22.3'' I measured

  • @Intelliguy20 WOW! Nice....yeah you guys got pounded there as well! Thanks for watching!

  • Nice snowstorm footage.

  • Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video :)

  • Snowblivion!!! lol Awesome video, Scott! I hope the spring season is as active as this winter has been!

  • Thanks Michael! Yes, let's hope for an equally as active spring season!!

  • @vmax135 in the end we didnt really get to much of active spring for snow, but we did get alot of rain during it.

  • Another nice job Scott!!!

  • @stormzip Thanks!! Could be looking at more snow here in the city Monday night/Tuesday morning

  • Wow, would love to see snow like that just once in my life.. not going to happen here.

  • It really is something to see, hopefully you'll get to see it one way or another one day :)

  • @ozthunder where you from?

  • @justintime2989 .. from Australia, on the coast about 90 miles south of Sydney. Shivering through winter, with our 65 -68F days..LOL. Actually that is average and that is what this winter has been.

  • @ozthunder LOL...wow, not much of a "winter" is it! lol. That would be nice

  • 5/5!

  • Scott, great video. Love NYC in the snow. The wind really blows between the buildings. Unfortunately, all that snow turns to nasty slush in a few days. Bill

  • Yes, it was starting to turn brown in Manhattan while it was STILL falling, lol. It really doesn't stay pretty for long here in the city. But in Queens where I live it still looks pretty nice

  • Great Video Scott!!! Looks like you guys got hammered... Also I really need to get an HD camera ASAP!!! The quality is AWESOME! Your video reminded me of the first snow we got here in DC... Beautiful wet snow with huge flakes...

I'm going to post some video of the blizzard tonight... The winds really were crazy at times! Worst I've seen since the 1993 Superstorm!

  • Thanks! Yeah we got hammered pretty good, but NWS is not going to officially call this a blizzard, and I have to agree with them on that. We didn't see true blizzard conditions. Only had about an hour of strong winds, not the 3 hours needed to classify. Still though, a great storm. Looking forward to checking out your video!!

  • I just posted the video so I'll let you check it out for yourself but in DC we had near blizzard conditions for at least 12 hours... I doubt we had sustained 35mph winds for 3 hours straight, but it was very close! It was around 25-30mph sustained winds with gusts around 45-50mph...

  • YouTube is all screwed up on my end tonight...can't load anything! Will check the vid out tomorrow for sure! Can't wait to see it!

  • @tornadovideostock but didnt upton put northeast jersey and the city under blizzard warning? or was that later in febuary monster snowstorm. and to think 3 huge storms in one winter.

  • @justintime2989 Off hand I can't remember right now. The one thing that was missing from the Feb 10th storm was the wind...it fell below Blizzard criteria, but we did get whalloped again on Feb 26th! Definitely a heck of a winter here for sure!

  • @tornadovideostock yes we did get pounded i rember i went walking in that blizzard and couldnt see 3 steps in front of me, and every hour i was shoveling snow so wouldnt be as heavy to unshovle the driveway, and best birthday present is feb 9-10th storm fist time happened on my bday

  • @justintime2989 Very nice! So it was your birthday eh? Cool. Like you, I was going out very often to shovel my driveway once I got back home. Thankfully I had help from some family members as well!

  • Scott, can you tell me which file type you upload your videos ?

They suggest the best is either MPEG2 or H264.

But, i can't decide between the 2 of them.

  • I've been uploading WMV's believe it or not! I'm going with about a 7000 bit rate for the HD stuff (1280 X 720) and it's been working out good so far :)

  • REALLY !!!!! Wow. I would not have guessed that. The quality is great !

  • Give it a shot! The file size for this clip was about 200 MBs, but that ain't too bad.

  • nice job Scotty!!

  • Awesome Video Scott !!!!! In HD too !

  • Thanks Mike! And yep, I'm doing my videos in HD now

  • Some nice big flakes coming down there in the beginning of the video. I love the spots you shot in and around your area! That wind must of made things challenging for those people and you trying to film the snowstorm. Great video Scott!!!

  • Thanks Nathan! It'll look even better once the video is fully processed. And yes, I'm paying for being out in the cold all day yesterday, with a cold today, lol. It was worth it though.
