  • Great song, great video, great point.

  • Mmm, 11 : count `em, Eleven Disslikes. People like them just make ya Seeth dont they ? This song is a treasure and those folk are the Un-Worthy Dirt . END OF

Maybe they must of hit the wrong button ,some-how. "yeah , thats how it`s happened ! " Me = cult9epic @ hotmail }} Can U Dig It

  • 2.39 he get an SFA LP!

  • we love you santa!!!!!! oh yeah...you too gruff. ahem.

  • omg this video is scary :/

  • so am i the only one that missed the point to this video?

  • and kuraniko would the lord be this mythical jesus character that is actually the same as horus of the egyptian god myth. Krstmas in fact a pagan ritual that is now....and i love this......the biggest commercial holiday in the world. now enjoy breaking your middle class bank year after year to satisfy your so called friends and loved ones.

i love the super furry animals.

  • Your mom is the gift that keeps on giving, can I get a what, what?

  • I feel so sorry for this kid. Imagine the karma coming for him.

  • @iratedumbass6 what whaat

  • Hooray for Capitalism! - is the moral of the story.

  • festive

  • Hey Venus is probably my favorite album they have done. I love this song but I interpreted the lyrics much differently than this video would depict. But hey, that dynamic of interpretation is just why I like SFA so much.

  • another stolen pagan festival, get ur own bible bashers

  • er I'm not a believer or anything but haven't you got this CHRISTmas thing a little confused dude???

  • Pastafarians, who stereotypically are known for being the drunken peaceful friends of bible bashers, have Holiday. Sort of a second hand Christmas. Only all the Jesus has rubbed off but there's still some faded presents hanging on to the battery acid.

  • yeah, i thought 'Hey Venus' was crap as well.

  • OK. so...

Anyone would be happy to GET stuff...But to cry when you lost nothing? God, these crying kids are spoiled.

  • I like commercial christmas!

  • Box of kittens! Indeed, the gift that keeps on giving!

  • Maybe in a few thousand years this will be our collective christmas song...and sentiment (look it up) --it means feeling

    Love U!

  • in a few thousand years Christmas will be just sooo different it will just be giving presents and a chance for advertising thats it there will e no warmth or tradition lol

  • Its like that now!!

  • I doubt it'll still be called Christmas in a few thousand years.

  • that and the fact that christmas has become a complete pharce

  • Haha, I just noticed that at like, 2:38 the kid opens up a copy of Hey Venus!, examines it, then hurls it behind him. Hilarious.

  • haha! Yeah he does...ungrateful little bugger!

  • well, not quite,i dont really get this video to be honest

  • Reverse psychology is a persuasion technique involving the false advocacy of a belief or behavior contrary to the belief or behavior which is actually being advocated. This technique relies on the psychological phenomenon of reactance, in which a person has a negative emotional response in reaction to being persuaded, and thus chooses the option which is being advocated against.

  • thats what happens to the pot supply when i move somewhere

  • I hear that

  • merry christmas you furry animals!!

  • Did you guys also hear that there seem to be more accidents or deaths around Christmas than any other holiday? That's definitely a saddening fact.

  • apparently that's a misconception...

  • Wow! This is so incredibly deep... I wouldn't know where to start.

I'm now a fan! Hope you're all well,

    Alexander Mikhail

  • SFA themselves have stated that themselves that there's no hidden subtext in the video, people. So stop all this analysing.

  • haha, brilliant. they themselves said themselves did they? Oh my god! and idiots have been analysing something an artist created? what were they thinking? and they themselves said there was no meaning? oh you poor fools.

(do you see what i did there?)

yeah, i'd say theres no hidden subtext to that video at all, its wholly explicit.

  • the image of santa at the cross, like jesus, resume all the idea of the video

  • This video is weird

and the song is not that good.

  • Taxi for one please!

  • LMFAO! Now kids know why there's no such thing as Sanata now-a-days. :D

  • Hahahaha wow.. yeah, this is not social commentary at all.

  • Oh man xD

  • SFA are probably my second favourite band ever, and I have to admit I haven't listened to Love Kraft or Hey Venus yet, and I feel very guilty.

Cedwch y Ffydd as a Certain Mr. Bunff once told me at a record signing.

    Hir oes i SFA!

  • about self perpetuating cycle of consumption (the basis for all modern society). i think the imagery negatively focuses on western culture, namely the united states.

"[the corporate rush to devour the new]"

    -sfa. "Download". Radiator. 1997

  • Im not gonna write a whole paragraph out about what I think, me being a simple middle class-er.

But the rich cannot help their wealth. Im sure many donate what they can and still afford the comfortable life style. Its not selfish, its pratical. Simple human nature.

The poor work hard, but get little in return. The holiday season is a tough time for their children, and for the parents who may feel guilty. But Christmas isnt about the gifts, its about being with family and praising the lord.

  • Is anyone gonna actually talk about the song?

Music is meant to be musical, not profound social commentary. The song is annoying and bad, unless it's meant to be some type of joke.

And anyone who says all rich people are ignorant is a complete and total moron. I think that's reffered to as stereotyping, so let's all calm down and think before we speak.

  • Haha, that was good.

    Very good.

  • hahahaha omg what an ending

  • hahah little bastard...

  • ahaha.

  • haha

  • best uk band of the last 20 years

  • The parents of those crying kids should be ashamed. This would not happen in Glasgow! If they had anything about them they would have been casing the rich parent's house from say early December onwards, and as soon as the first Argos van had pulled away, they should have been Vaselining the fat cat flap. Remember though, it is Christmas- so leave an orange and a Beano annual.

  • this is great. it displays what christmas is really all about.. the rich kid is spoiled rotten and the poor kids are crying. its not about jesus, its about merchandising. now think about the starving slaves in other countries who are making that shit for the american consumer to buy and then throw in a land fill.. this holiday is disgusting and totally against everything that it supposedly represents.

  • begars hat very nice song...

  • I hate to be serious in a youtube comment but its clear that the end of this video is representative of the cynical (but somewhat true) notion that in the case of American Christians, Christmas has seemingly grown more "Santa-centric" than Christ-centric. Santa on the crucifix indicates that he is "replacing" Christ. This is how I interpret this video; you don't need to know what my personal views are, nor do I care to hear about yours.

  • Christmas was never Christ centric. Jesus was born in either June or March according to most Christian scholars. The birth of Christ was laid over the Yule celebration -- a disservice to both Christians and pagans. The heritage we have today is an inheritance from those of wealth in power exerting myth over the masses to control them. It violates all that is sacred and yes it brings sadness to many because of its huge lie to everyone that started in 273 AD

  • Halloween is pagan, not Christmas! Santa is a version for kids.

  • SHARK is for the most part correct. However, I would argue that "Christmas", whether or not it is of legitimate basis, is inherently Christ-centric. The Christian purpose for the holiday is to celebrate the birth of Christ. Dates of different holidays of different religions were often made to coincide--I can't think of any other reason for this other than convenience.

  • It is held by many historians that he never converted to Christianity himself, but used it shrewdly to unite the populace under him and against others. To make this palatable he created holidays that had not been celebrated in Christianity before -- all of which coincided on the day or in days of pagan holidays. Why is that a problem? The messages have also gotten all mixed up, as I said a disservice to both the Christian and the Pagan.

  • Add on top of that the corporate message that consumption = happiness and we've got all the right ingredients for some very confused children. Yes, Christmas is named for Christ, co-opted by corporate America - "believe what ye will as long as thou shoppest at Wal-Mart." I'm not a cynic. I love the holiday - I just think it harms alot of people now with the mixed sound bit messages and it's messy origins predisposed it to that kind of misuse.

  • Amen, Shark. And I mean that in its most secular sense.

  • @HxCxALLCAPSx Then what was the point of posting this comment?

  • @HxCxALLCAPSx I agree, Merry CHRISTmas! :)

  • @HxCxALLCAPSx If you are frightened of a little youtube debate it's safer not to comment in the first place. I don't think SFA would be concerned about Santa replacing christ so it's unlikely to be a theme. Seemingly Gruff saw Santa on a cross whilst shopping in Japan and he says they released this christmas song as an excuse to have Santa on a cross on the cover. An alternate ending shows Santa with an arrow through his head. I think the video is more to do with capitalism than anything else.

  • I'm simply astounded at the discussion this one little video has gotten out of people hah

  • The rich own everything except a sense of value.

  • Did you come up with that yourself, or is it a quote? Either way: IT IS TOO PROFOUND FOR A YOUTUBE COMMENT. LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.

  • Let me dumb it down for you: RICH PEOPLE ARE GREEDY AND IGNANT. Now pull my finger.

  • really liked the melody and vocals, but the video,um yeah, I'm choosing to belive this represents the confusion children ( and some adults) have with christmas

  • i think its like that we dont see the real meaning of xmas... its all baout the gift and not about the action of giving it...and that isnot just the object it self that counts...

    something like that..

  • what...i dont get it

  • What the heck? I dont get it. Did they kill santa because the little boy was too spoiled to appreciate a simple gift? Or are they trying to say in a weird way Jesus love to us is the ultimate gift because it keeps on giving? Kids get too much these days anyways.

  • why'd that greedy little shit kill santa??

  • Santa on a cross! That made the whole video! So...is THAT the gift that keeps giving? Wait...I don't get it...

  • dudes not cool. you cant crucify santa. well I suppose you can since you did but its still not right. youre harshing my buzz man

  • 2312341g2

  • vultures! isn't the art community clustered enough with ads and soliciters, please have some dignity, you and your planted response.

  • Okay, the ending was just creepy~~~REally creepy.

  • wow thats really cool

  • sad but true

  • whoa that was crazy.

  • Happy Christmas sfa!!!

  • fantastic song!

  • Wait a minute! This is a whole other version of SFA's video. Where's the one where Santa is on the floor with a rod in his head? Trying to shock us in more ways than one?

  • Well, fabricate stories that don't mesh, and sometimes has to kill them. Kids, check your basement from now on. This is the last of the Sanata Clauses, unless the one SFA killed was the garden variety mall impostor.

  • someone has to kill them*

  • thats a cracking song. and lollable video

  • crikey!

  • OMFG THAT WAS DARK

  • Very unlike SFA, right?

  • agreed

  • Er, you guys ever heard No Sympathy?

  • Are you insinuating with that song reference that SFA might have made this a video, but the truth this they may have wanted him (or the myth, rather) to die for real?

If that is the case, then I might I might see where you are driving at.
