Superb I'm getting this monitor. Can I just ask does the screen have a glossy finish?

Nope, just the black borders are glossy :P

Glossy is just a coating. Like matt is also a coating. Personally I don't like a glossy screen. (just borders looks good). Every LCD has protection layers on it's surface, glossy or not. That's why you can't clean them with water/liquid, it will damage the coating layers.

Oooh right I'm thinking of the wrong thing then lol. Cause my current 19" Philips I thought had a glossy coating but it turns out the screen is protected by a glass cover.

Just some games don't run on max with highest AA on that resolution, at least not at decent FPS. Ofcourse it will when you buy the 8900, but not for long.

Only the resolution of 24" kinda sucks because you need to buy new graphics card every 4 months or so to keep up. 1920x1200 is alot.
