  • Do Discus fish eats Flake?

  • very awesome fish

  • Nice that's a great looking discus, really nice tank...

  • huh, 1 looser dislikes this??!!

  • Nice

  • Discus fish are amazing fish to keep! There's so many different strains to choose from and each individual strain has a unique trait.

  • They look very happy. Well done!

  • hi, what kind of the red discus in the first video? marlboro ?

    thx u for your reply

  • how much time took u make them sooo big or u bought them big;;;;

    what do u feed them

  • hey mate very beautiful discus they look in great condition here. can i ask what you feed them on a daily basis for their colors to be so bright?

please get back to me asap

  • hi, very nice tank , will the discuss be happy in 8.0 pH water with fake plants??

  • @RottNBrain

discus fish thrive in P.H between 6.0 - 7.0 I REALLY suggest you do not keep them in 8.0 thats just a disaster waiting to happend! if you live in an area with high P.H and hard water (like myself) there are hundreds of buffers to lower it. i highly suggest discus buffer becuse it not only adjust your P.H to discus requirments, it also softens the water. and fake plants do just fine in discus tanks but i would reccomend getting live becuse they act as a natural filters.

  • Lovin This Music....

  • The background music has all the discus relaxed and chilling...lol.

  • Lol, yes! It's probably because they are still

  • can i check with you 1.5 ft fish tank can keep how many discus?

  • Hi! Every discus should have 13 gallon water :)

  • 13 gallon is how big?

  • @motor999 do u mean how many litres it is or how much space it takes up?... cuz idk the litres, but space wise (well, u may aswell get a 15 gal, cuz sippan66 said "should have", so u wont a bit more so it has room) wich would prob be less than 20 in. (i think)

  • 40lenght 40depth 30wide (cm)

  • wonderful job, nice specimens. lv the tank layout.

  • Glad to hear that. Thank you!

  • nice . but i was told that when discuses dont move theyre stressed or pissed off . IS THAT TRUE?

  • They get a bit stressed with large water changes. And I had just done this before I made the movie.

  • @sloppi1234 No, stressed fish will be skitish or all huddeled up in a corner trying to hide form the light.

  • nice and healthy its clear that your keeping them well

  • Thanks very much!

  • what is the name of the 2 blue discus there with stripped on there body? i have one like those & 1 pigeon blood,

my pigeon blood chase and bite it everyday... i don't know why, my pigeon blood is older than the blue one.

It has happened the first time i put my blue discus into my aquarium.

    do u have any suggestions?

    thx u very much

    -leo-

  • Hi! The blue discus are Royal Blue Discus. I can't tell you why your discus are fighting with each other. It is usual that a discus can be bullied by the other discus. Unfortunately you can not do much about it.

  • 480lt but why are they in one place? have you provided enough open spaces for them? great looking fish though...they look very healthy.

  • Hi! I haven't much stuff in the tank, just some roots. But in the movie they are little stressful because I changed the water just before I made the movie.

  • hey is that fake driftwood or real driftwood? because im planning to get a fake one but i dont know if its good for them??? and is there even fake driftwood?

  • Hi! The driftwood is real but the background is fake. I think its good with driftswood where fishes may feel they can hide when it's messy and I also think it is good to lower the pH value of water.

  • They look so peaceful and happy, so fun to watch!

  • Thanks! Yes, it is wonderful to sit and look at them.

  • i love the way u have got like a doul background it brings out the colour of the discus

  • Thanks! :)

  • Nice tanks and fish. Congratulations!

  • Oh, thanks wirfill!

  • oh jesus, they look exactly like mine!! sure you didn't clone them ;) lol oj

  • Lol! I haven't see yours? Do you have a video or picture on yours here somewhere?

  • wow your fish are awsome!!!! =]

  • Thanks sirbpure! :)

  • Sorry, I had to watch it five times to admire your fish :-) Very beautiful!

  • Thanks! It was nice said of you :)

  • where are living(country) ?

where did you get these fishes ?

    this is really nice video

  • Hi and thanks! I live in Sweden. I have bought the fishes here but I don't know where they come from.

  • HI I'm mathan live in sri lanka.

in here i didn't see these type of fishes because of that i asked you " where did you get these fishes". thanks for your reply

  • Impressive Tank! Love how you decorated and you have Lovely fish!

  • Thanks again!

  • Great Video!

  • Thank you FlyingFisches 2009!

  • Thank looks dull. Fish are good but the tank

  • I just setup a 430 litre tank, i am cycling it at the moment, but how many discus could i have in there? Also i have about 23 neons, 4 peppered corys and 2 otocinclus, and i will add a couple of bristlenoses, so take into account those fish too. Lovley tank and discus by the way

  • hey mate, do you have a different tank set up right now, cause you could just take everything from that tank and put it in your new tank ( water included ) and u should have enough bacteria, thats what i do with all my discus tanks

in this 111 gallon tank, i would put around 7 maybe 8 discus, leave the other 30 gallons for the neons, corys and the bristlenoses

a good rule of thumb is 10 gallons per discus, i dont ever put as many as i could then your just giving them their minumum space

  • Hi and thanks!

It depends if the tank contains sand, and other stuff, or if it's empty. In a tank without anything but water it's easier to keep clean and you can have more discus. How many discus you can have in your tank depends also how often you change water. I have 16 discus in my 480 litres tank now, but I have no other fishes, sand or other stuff in it right now. I change much water every other day.

  • what like are u using?i really need to know

  • Sorry, I don't understand your question!

  • r they agressive and eat other fish?

  • No, they are not agressive and don't eat other fishes :)

  • They are usualy peacefull fish, but sometimes they will eat small fish. It depends on the fish and how aggressive that they want to be. I had a small White Cloud Mountain minnow, my blue discus used to chase it, then one day I never saw that minnow again...

  • beautiful, and nice quality video! very colorful fish

  • Thank you :)

  • Thanks sivan there great.

Where did you get your discus from?

    Breeder or pet store.

    Especially the super blue diamond?

  • From a pet store in southern Sweden, and some of the other from a pet store in north Sweden. I don't know where they get the fishes from. They are pretty amazing, aren't they? :)

  • great tank and fish there very pretty good job

  • Thank you!

  • Very Beautiful tank.

I'm new to Discus, Building a tank, Can you tell me the the different types of Discus fish you have here from Left to right at the 44 mark of the film starting with the red & white one. It would be a big help for me.

The Discus fish from left and right is: Checkerboard pigeon, Royal blue, Royal blue, Golden candle (behind the royal blue), Golden melon, Super red melon, Leopard (above super red melon), Super blue diamond (above Leopard), Rose red.
