I have the same exhaust and yours sounds ricey with the test pipes. A little too raspy. I put my cats back on, and still kept low end torque and the tone is much deeper!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing, just giving my opinion since we have the same car, and exhaust.

Sorry for the late response. I don't take offense at all. Everyone has their opinion. But I honestly hear no rasp. The VQ is naturally deeper and has a "gurgle" to it from the factory. Not sure how you describe it.

My last exhaust was PIT and THAT was raspy. There is a huge diff.

It's that gurgle I don't like. Sounds artificial even though it isn't. I much prefer the odd firing order of the Honda, Duratec, and Alfa V6's. Sounds raw and mean.

I'm swapping my TopSpeed setup for this. Love the almost stock sound of it, but just a lil more of a muscular tone. Looks factory from the back also. Sleeper look FTW!

It gets a little loud without a resonated test pipe (in video). So I'd recommend one for less rasp too. Barely any without, but I bet it's 10x better with.

Yes, mine was an 05 and I did the non fouler fix ... but it didn't work. I got annoyed and left it alone from then on out and never got back to it, which I should have.

Alright, enough of the b.s. This is an exhaust video, not a turbocharger discussion. MY 350Z WAS NOT TURBOCHARGED. Backpressure from the test pipes ( I am guessing ) is what caused the hissing whenever you lift off the throttle. It happens with every Z, more or less.

The reason I put the tanabe exhaust with test pipes was because of that reason. Get one of the quietest exhausts, and make it a little louder. It wasn't annoying and was in my comfortable range even with unresonated.

And I took highway trips every other day for 50 miles. I was just fine.
