My things do not come out as nice, Here is also a little note for everyone, when I went to Michaels no one knew what UTee was, so if they look confussed say the entire name.
WOW! Do you realize that SUZE tweeted this video out AND she left you a comment?! shamoleeeeee! Thats like being visited by OZ! LOL! I love UTEE! Its sooo fun! Thanks for the video!
@suriej UTEE does come in colors. There's black, white, and pearl, metallics like bronze and gold, and the Brightz line (blue, yellow, red, etc.). I have everything but the Brightz; some were at a local craft store and others I got online a while ago (a camera store that also sells scrapbooking supplies, I think; can't remember the name). I'm not sure where to get the Brightz now that Suze doesn't have a store anymore, but there's probably someplace online.
Thanks for the ideas, Christina. I have 3 questions: 1) In the last demo, is there a reason you didn't use colored pigment ink instead of regular ink and Versamark? Does the colored stuff not work well? 2) Where did you get your tweezers? I need longer ones like that; my metal ones are too short and the plastic ones made for UTEE just don't work well for me. And 3) Have you ever tried to put UTEE on both sides of something? I make jewelry and I'm having trouble with that. Thanks again.
@kimada1017 Hi...Great questions...I've used Stampin' Up ink, chalk ink...all kinds. The distress ink was just closest when I was getting ready to do the video :) I got my tweezer at Michael's. They are by Fiskars...Love them...Have you thought about getting the melting pot? That would probably be the best way to get all sides...Enjoy your weekend. Christina
This is a great tutorial! Thanks so much for making it, and all of your other videos, and for sharing with us. These techniques are terrific. Really adds a beautiful touch.
What a fabulous job you did Christine...I am OVERLY PROUD OF YOU. !!
UTEE, just for those not in the know, comes in a wide assortment of colors. 3 Metallics, 8 brights, Black, White, Pearl and the old standby, Clear. Don't be at all afraid to try it.....it's the most fun since sliced bread !!!
Messy but has a great outcome. When I don't feel like cleaning up EP, I use Triple Thick clear Glaze I got from Michaels. You just brush it on.I couldn't find the big jar so I got the 2oz. Works great.
@mississchic That embossing powder flies all over....especially when you accidentally aim the heat gun at the bowl of powder. Done that many many times.
Thanks Christina for sharing those ideas.I just bought a jar of that , so your video is just in time to show how to use it. Love that baby butterfly. TFS.
