To me, Tai isn't completely evil. One of my favorite scenes is when Shifu apologizes sincerely to Tai during their last battle, and there is a moment where you can see Tai's face soften. Somewhere he still wufs his daddy :)

Tai Lung turned bad becuase Shi Fu did not stand up for him when Oogway refused to give him the dragon scroll. And could he not be? After 20 years or more of intense training and nothing else, when you are refused the thing that belongs to you, how would you react? Especially when your "father", the one that filled your head with dreams, doesn't stand up for you...

And I'm sick of seing cool and great bad characters loosing to fat, ugly, retarted and idiotic good guys.... Honestly.

Shifu seemed alot happier when he adopted her and Tai seems to know Tigress. Tigress probably really hates Tai, because Tai caused Shifu to become distant to her, from her perspective.

Tai Lung didnt really confront Tigress on the bridge like he knew her. Her talked to her like she was just another person standing in his way. I could be wrong, but I think he would have said her name had they known each other. And I figure Tai Lung knew Shifu trained them based on their fighting styles while battling him on the bridge.

I think Shifu was upset after Tigress hit the punching bag only because it reminded him of little Tai Lung kicking the bag in almost the same way.

Nah, they did this backstory, secrets of the furious five. And Shifu is alot warmer when he adopted Tigress then he is in the movie. Which suggests to me that this took place before Tai went rogue. Shifu wasn't always like he was in the movie.

As for Tai not responding to Tigress. Its because Tai doesn't care about anything but the Dragonwarrior and the scroll. Tai's obsessive. Tigress didn't interest him.

I'm surprised that Tai wasn't completely axe-crazy after staying completely immobilized but able to think normally for twenty years.

He's actually surprisingly rational. And for that matter even seems like he'd have been content not to fight the five or Shifu if they just hadn't made it a point to stop him. He also didn't kill the five, even if he had every opportunity.

(Note he went through that prison, through the five and through shifu and then wrested the scroll from Po, which was his goal. Without any break, running a great distance as well.

Only after the scroll turned out to be a McGuffin he lost his temper completely and got defeated.)

I really had to get used to Tai's voice because I saw the character design and the prison escape quite a while before actually hearing him talk.

So when he first talked I was like 'totally not what I had imagined him to sound like.' (I had imagined he'd have a sort of a menacing deep low growl.) Instead he ended up sounding surprisingly... refined.

I don't dislike his voice (He's supposed to be kind of smug and cocky and he sounds the part well.) But I must say I didn't see it coming.

That I was really surprised by his voice. And that he sounded way more urbane then I had imagined he'd sound.

As I said, I had seen pictures of him and part of the prison break scene (not including the last part where he talks.) So when a month or so later I saw the bridge scene and he talked, I was like 'Is THAT what he sounds like?'

As I said, I don't dislike the voice, but had I been in charge of the voices, I don't think it would have even occurred to have him voiced the way he was.
