I have to sey, seeing a mostly all-male orchestra in this day and age is completely wierd and alienating: actualy quite a shock to see. I'd feel very uncomfortable and removed to go to a concert like this, as if I were not welcome. What is it about? Like entering a church where it is stated very clearly who or what the sex of the "Higher" Being is. Rather go to a "lesser" orchestra (which I enjoy doing in London a lot) but which has lots of different players, than this.
A truly fantastic performance by the Vienna Philharmonic, the only thing is that the clarinet player's sound sounded forced, not something I would expect the Vienna Philharmonic to chose...
@G1Jericho important? yes! powerful? i guess that depends on your definition of powerful... i never overlook or underestimate woodwinds so i guess that statement struck me as odd
I wanna play this piece! Sounds so interesting and beautiful! :D

Trust me, those Auditoriums can get so crazy hot. You have no idea. It is ridiculous. Just sitting there will make you sweat.
