Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
Beautyful , Holy matramony gorgeous voice chicken skin i gat from tis song , See the motion picture ,SWEET DREAMS, whit Jessica Lange as Patsy Cline a greate biografie from the golden voice of the eurly 50''ts and 60'"ts .
I came to the US just a couple of years before Patsy was taken from us. I came to know her through the family I sort of grew up with. She was magic from the first time I heard
her voice. She's an all time great no matter whether you're talking of country, or pop
or whatever. A voice like that comes along only once in a lifetime. We miss you Patsy
Her homeplace is one hour drive from mine. I live in Md. and she grew up in Virginia. B/C I have relatives there, she will always feel like home to me, not only b/c of her music, but the proximity of her childhood and background. How I love this lady.
Because it was too long a name. Her nickname was always "Patsy" because of her middle name being Patterson. And Bill Peer , a musician she worked with thought Virginia sounded too fancy.
Actually, she was a VIRGINIA gal. And her name wasn't Klien, it was Cline. A good English name, that a lot of people from Tennessee could probably have. Not to be pedantic, but sheesh.
Go and see her album in 1957 titled "Patsy Cline" in wikipedia. This is how she looked like in 24. However, she looked like a 50 yr old lady instead. Not being rude, but she really looked very old.
She was great. We missed her!!!! Such a incredible person and singer diyng with only 30. That is really sad, but she is still the best country singer, without any doubt!!!
It seems i almost had the opportunity to witness a couple getting married in person at the magistrate. praying they will make it! do not even know their name!
dats true golo500. i love patsy cline and there will never be another singer like her.
her music will never fade away. im 24 and i love her, i have nearly every cd. true queen of country noone will ever replace her. greeting from ireland.
...Furthermore, with such 'symphonic majesty' as this, is it any wonder that perhaps the greatest generation was inspired to do such great things. Bravo to them and theirs, may your contributions NEVER be undone...
...Miss Patsy could wear nothing more than a dingy burlap sack and still embue more grace, sophistication and refinement than any modern day singers. Her voice, style and mastery are not only what makes her legendary but the apex of aspiration for all those who followed...
As good as Patsy's voice was, keep in mind that when she was singing "How Can I Face Tomorrow", that was nearly fifty years ago, and her clothes reflected the style of the day. Considering the time-frame, it would not be fair-to-compare with today's glossy high-tech presentations and digitally tampered sound tracks that can artificially improve anyone's voice. Even standing in front of a tacky cardboard stage-prop, Patsy's performance could just blow-away singers of today!
If you were to compose the soundtrack of my life, the only song you would need is this one, and I've Loved And Lost Again lol, the story of my life " the dreams we shared have all been torn apart, it's your wedding day, but I can't claim your heart " I can relate to that all too well lol
music in general these days sux. got a few still kickin around that posses the genuine qualities like they did back in the old days.. to bad singers like patsy cline, buddy holly, hank williams, elvis, had to go so soon.
That "June Cleaver" outfit was very FITTING for back in the 50's...it's 2008, WHY do people still care what others wear? It AMAZES me...and not in a good way!!! Like Obama's wife and that damn red and black dress...people were so focused on what she was wearing instead of the ISSUES!!!!!!! Okay...sorry for rambling...I'll get off the soap-box already... :)
Beautiful, sad, and like all the best country singers, she possessed a voice that seemed to embody yearning. It makes it that bit sadder that Patsys art reflected her life all too accurately.
I used to listen to oldies station in my city, and they always played her songs, and I loved her. My dad told me that she died, and then after "Coal Miner's Daughter" & then "Sweet Dreams", my dad suddenly "discovered" her. He said the radio stations really didn't play her that much here where we live and he never heard her, and I had to laugh, because I'd been hearing her since the early 70's on the oldies stations. Now I hardly hear her on the radio at all. Miss hearing that voice!!!
I can be having the worst day of my life and hi hear one of her songs ill forget what i was mad about her songs show you that love is true and emotion is real.
There is so little live footage of Patsy, these little gems are treasures. Dead for over a decade before my birth, I was listening to and loving her records by the time I was six. Something about that voice haunts my soul to this day, not to mention the fact that she was a strong female role model, confident, beautiful, kickin ass and takin names in a time before women were allowed that privilege. Patsy paved the way for the singers of two generations that came after her, and she is fabulous.
As a fellow Shenandoah Valley girl from Winchester, I agree she is a treasure, I love to see the live performances, she blows me away even more than what she did in the recording studio.
Thank you so much for posting this. I love Patsy Cline. I sing alot of her stuff for tribute shows. I would really apriciate if you would check out my channel and let me know what you think.
Her hair looks blonde in this video shoot.I think Patsy is gorgous anyway but i love her in the 50s when her hair was long and wavy with that hint of quiff. Real 50s Cowgirl look.Never be another like her.
God sets some people apart with a special gift. From the minute she sings the first note, you know she was one of those special people. Thank God for Patsy and the gift she shared with us.
Nothing is wrong with Country Music it is just the type of music I listen too. Did not mean anything by my comment. I am more into soul, R&B, rock n roll, oldies. Take care :)
I adore all of her classics, she was one of my mother's favourite, I can still remember the days when my mom used to listen to one of her songs, which is called "Crazy" Oh, what a lovely time that was.........
"How Can I Face Tomorrow"... This song was never recorded by Patsy on any album, and it survives only as an early TV recording. I found this piece to be a wonderful time-trip back to 1960, with a noticeably young looking Eddie Arnold introducing Patsy to the audience. Even though the sound quality itself is mediocre, her unmistakable voice comes shinning through in her seemingly effortless command of the vocal scale!
Patsy did record this song in the studio. In fact it's on several compilation records released through the years. This was the B side to her single cover of "Lovesick Blues." Released on Decca Records on March 7, 1960. She frequently sang this song on the Grand Ole Opry and there is a recording of her singing it on the Opry from the album "Live at the Opry" released by MCA (formerly Decca) on April 4, 1988.
I got a very nice note from sendacheck. Thanks for that. If you are looking for more Patsy info visit patsycline (dot)info. That's where I got the info on the record. There are also links on that site to the other four major Patsy websites. patsycline (dot) info is run by Dr. William L. Cox, affectionately known to us as the living Encyclopedia of Country Music.
Thank you for the kind words Mark! It is surprising that Patsy Cline, whom I never met in person, was able influence my life to the extent that she did. When Patsy's fan think of her, most probably don't realize that she would now be about 75, had she not died so tragically. Personally, I find her to be locked-in-time at 30, and will always remember her that way as her music lifts my spirits now, just as it did then!

I agree, I think she looks older than 25.. but back then women had class and didnt run around teeny-boppin. She was a dignified young lady.

They wore clothes back then, not like today, and the hair and make-up was different, she had beauty inside as well as outside.

Not to be pendantic, but she was actually 27 or 28 in the vid.. Anyways, the style of dress is what might make her appear older.
