The SPAS 12 can look very cool, in fact its my favorite shotgun but unfortunately is very dangerous, the old SPAS 12 models with the safety lever had tremendous issues with their safety system, it was almost like a second trigger, when you switch back and forth from safe to fire and fire to safe the gun could shoot unintentionally and maybe killing someone. Handle these guns with care and have fun.

P.S: Newer SPAS 12 models now have a new safety type but still you must handle the gun with care.

@EvilLemonAirsoft Its easier to fire from your shoulder. Hip fire is harder to control the recoil. When firing from the shoulder the recoil produced from the gun is dispersed all throughout your body, thus reducing recoil. Please think before you comment.

@HASHANIMATIONS Every regular SPAS 12 can be pumped back. There are pump only versions and semi auto only versions. But the regular SPAS 12 still has the pump because not all kinds of ammo can produce the energy for the self-loading to occur, such as grenade launching shells (require an adaptor on the muzzle), less lethal loads, low recoil loads, etc etc

Um yeah, but you actually want to aim to ensure that the majority of pellets actually hit the target. You dont fire from the hip. It is extremely unsafe, makes you look like a redneck, and gives you no extra stability. And no shit handguns, rifles, and shotguns handle differently. They dont just handles different, they are completely different. Have you shot skeet before? If you have, you know that even if you shoot in the general direction, you wont hit the target without aiming.

It was meant to be used in semi-automatic for combat applications, and if the semi-auto mechanism failed, you still had the good old pump to rely on as a back up. They didn't have fully automatic shotguns in the 80s, which is when most SPAS-12 models were made.
