Thanks for those beach terms...As a beach bum they will come in handy if I ever go to China....I do not know if you will be getting my music video of Seaside Park, my beach. It shows the park and the beach and the University of Bridgeport(UB) in March. There are many students from China and Korea attending UB.

I was thought that when you have two 3th-tone characters next to each other, you have to pronounce the first character as a 2th-tone character.

Peggy I love your lessons! I'm so glad you taught this and I learned new words. I think its good you taught the other meaning of "要", when we first start out we only learn that 要 means "want" and end up saying sentences like: 我要去咖啡厅 "I'm going to the cafe" (not "i want to go to the cafe")

Ideal vacation, go back home to hawaii and visit Kauai'i, its the perfect island, little to no tourism, not densely populated, kind people and some of the best surf in the world all day everyday... Kenting had some nice waves in your video you should have gone bodysurfing! haha great lesson as usual.
