A key point: the referee didn't warn Khan even ONCE before the second deduction. It came completely out of the blue.
The ref issued a few light warnings before the first deduction, but never any stern warnings...and both deductions came after harmless, meaningless pushes.
I'm not a Khan fan, I just like to watch good fights. But that was no way a win for Peterson. He fought a good fight but it should have been a draw at best. Anyway Khans mistake was not to make it a decisive win. When you box in the US and there's any doubts about points specially if you know you have 2 points deducted then you have to go all out with power punches. But what do you expect when you fight in the corrupt state, home of the IMF, World bank and the US government.
Even with those two ridiculous point deductions - that fool of a ref should never work another big fight for the rest of his life - Khan still edged it out. Without the deductions, he would have been a clear winner.

I think Khan won this fight but lost on the technical front.I mean he refused to listen to the ref and kept pushing off to hard and too many times.I think Khan is the better fighter but he is hard-headed.He lost because he had to adjust too many times and he can't fight going backwards so he just used pushing as an adjustment.He is more skilled than peterson but he must also learn how to adjust when refs shut certain tactics down.

How many chances would you give someone if they already know the rules and ignore your commands? Count the number of warnings for yourself!

Khan was by no means dominant here. It was a close fight with no clear victor. Peterson winning was a justifiable outcome, given his performance alone.

A key point: the referee didn't warn Khan even ONCE before the second deduction. It came completely out of the blue.
The ref issued a few light warnings before the first deduction, but never any stern warnings...and both deductions came after harmless, meaningless pushes.
Awful, awful refereeing.

I'm not a Khan fan, I just like to watch good fights. But that was no way a win for Peterson. He fought a good fight but it should have been a draw at best. Anyway Khans mistake was not to make it a decisive win. When you box in the US and there's any doubts about points specially if you know you have 2 points deducted then you have to go all out with power punches. But what do you expect when you fight in the corrupt state, home of the IMF, World bank and the US government.

I think Khan won this fight but lost on the technical front.I mean he refused to listen to the ref and kept pushing off to hard and too many times.I think Khan is the better fighter but he is hard-headed.He lost because he had to adjust too many times and he can't fight going backwards so he just used pushing as an adjustment.He is more skilled than peterson but he must also learn how to adjust when refs shut certain tactics down.

Peterson percentage was 8% higer than khans points or no points.

The Ref says before the fight to, "obey my commands at all times". Although the ref warned Peterson many times to keep his head up, It's not illegal to duck your head to avoid punches. He warns fighters to keep their head up for safety reasons. But it's illegal to push with hands and forearms and Khan was violating the rules from the first round to the last. How many chances would you give someone if they already know the rules and ignore your commands? Count the number of warnings for yourself!

@robinson726 he warned khan 13 times for pushing, he warned Peterson 18 times in the fight including a final warning after the 8th round saying to barry hunter he'd be deducted a point if he came in with his head again! the problem wasnt ducking his head either, it was putting his head in ahead of his feet!! THATS DANGEROUS AND AGAINST THE RULES.. I feel great for team peterson there hard work paid off but for khan its a huge blow and i feel everyone conspired against him including the IBF + ref

If that was a "legit" knockdown then those points deducted were warranted. Can't accept the refs mistake on that one and then call the ref a cheat, because he gave Khan a point for a knockdown he didn't even really cause.
