@ededdneddy92 Today I saw a squirrel commit suicide . He was in front of my friends car and he already got hit but not bad enough to die. Blood was trickling down by it's ear and instead of trying to get away to safety to the sidewalk but instead was trying to run back into the wheel of the car in front of us but missed the wheel. Then he made it to the grass by the side walk and instead of running to a tree, he waited and ran headfirst into a van wheel even when the driver tried to avoid him

@urantivirus No, its actually a mix type of thing, the lemmings won't "jump" off of tall cliff sides and follow the others off, lemmings simply pack up against it and some occasionally fall (get pushed) off, when approaching streams if the gradient isn't to steep they'll swim across while migrating, but they never commit mass suicide. The only things I know that actually display that type of life-ending density-dependent decimating are microbial life-forms, cells, and individuals within groups.
