In one of your future videos or blog posts, will you give any additional tips or details about toddler hair care that you may have? I have a toddler close to MB's age (I always smile and laugh at their similarities in behavior when she's in a video), and would like your insight. How did you manage to keep so much length in the back? Our 17-month old has similar length to MB on the top and front, but we had a lot of rub-out on the back and it's several inches shorter. We have satin sewn on the top half of her bedsheets and she rolls onto her stomach most of the time anyway, so we're not sure how it happened.
@mrburack Mocha Baby had rub-out too. I just left her hair alone as much as possible. She wore a shrunken fro all of the time. When her hair got long enough so that it was staying flat in the back when she rested her head anywhere I started doing loose puffs back there--gathering the longer hair around the rub-out over it to cover and protect it. Little by little it started growing out. I have never covered MB's head or used satin--it makes her too hot. So far so good.
@cholefreed That's right--take care of business! Your time will come--having done it both ways--don't wait too long. It was much easier for me when I was younger---at least physically.
@jgibbs05 I try not to make MB sit for more than 5-10 minute stretches. I do as much as I can in those stretches and let her wander around. This video was in real time. We started about a minute before we started recording.
This vid was the cutest!!!! What kind of styles do you do with her hair??I can't really cornrows and my daughters hair is a little shorter than Mocha baby's hair all I en up doing is poofs lol
@chantillyluv Mocha baby is the queen of puffs! I think they are perfect for babies. She flattens the ones in the back so I either braid those up or cornrow them. For the longest time I left her hair in a little fro, I finger detangled only when it was wet. If you follow the label for baby hair care on the blog, I go into even more detail.
@CherishMyDaughter Also--I've promised a cornrow tutorial. I think it would be difficult to see well since MB's hair is still so short. I just put the other 3 girls' hair in twist so it will be a couple of week BUT I will put up a tutorial for cornrows.

@DrDawnMarie I'm always surprised by her antics when I'm editing the videos. I hardly know what she's doing when I'm taping because I'm concentrating so much. I never have much time to tape and God has really been blessing me to get it done in very few takes.
@DearLove92 The goal is not to let more than 2 weeks go by. This last time we went way too long because a bad cold went through the house and we just couldn't get it together.
so so so cute!! my youngest is 16mos old and she LOVES to roll on her side too while I'm washing her hair!! On a good day, the massaging feels so good to her that she falls asleep!!

@hairaddict5 Here I'm using Suave daily clarifying because I needed to remove some buildup. I diluted it with water in a spray bottle.
