@stepup2ba mmm. it might run on low with the 7600 GT. I suggest trying out the demo on steam first. Also, don't upgrade to the 9800 GT, it's almost 4 years old. Still a great, and I mean, great card...but very outdated for today's games and not definitely not future proof. You should check out the GTX 460's. They are pretty beast and cheap.

Also, the gameplays that you saw were using an 800 x 600 resolution..that is the lowest res and it makes your games look like crap. @Pharmit24 lol, well there is no need to go out and buy a whole bunch of computer hardware just to enjoy one game. You could just go pick up the game for your PS3 or 360 and have the same experience. Personally if I MUST build a computer to play my games I would an AMD Phenom 955 or 965 *quad core* for the processor, an ATi 5870 for the video card, and Some G-Skill RAM running at at least 1066Mhz.

Well Nvidia released the GTS 250 about a year ago I think and it is exactly the same as the 9800 GTX+ but re branded. It stays cooler also. If I were you, I would for for the GTS 250. I know that the MSI N250GTS 1GB version costs $135 on Newegg ($115 after rebate). The 512mb version costs $115 and $85 after the rebate. I would really recommend that card. :P

I am positive you will be surprised at the performance increase XD

@GTXNate No my 2.8ghz dual core can play gtaiv all max except for shadows on medium and I get an average of 30 fps. I was looking at the quad cores I really want him to have a great gaming machine that will last a while. But the cheapest quad core they have is $140 when I can save $50 for a dual core that will preform just fine. The gpu will be overclocked along with the cpu and i think the problem with your friends pc is that he either has really low mb of cache or his ram is only 667mhz.
