I'm not sure if you already have a tutorial on this or not, if you do could you possibly link me to it (I'll search after this comment but just in case), but is there a faster way to render a video? I tried using openGL render but that turns out ugly and not what I wanted. But when I just go to render, it takes an insane ammount of time.
I just downloaded blender two days ago and so far I've been completely lost, and i mean LOST... i literally didnt know anythting! then i found your video, a billion thanks for the help! :)
about 48-hours into learning Blender and have just discovered your channel Ira. A huge thanks for posting so many calm, easy-to-follow tutorials for us beginners.BTW what screengrab/video editing software to you use to make these?
Just wondering if you knew how to move the actual pivot point? I'm trying to Mirror an object but the center point is in the wrong spot so its all messed up. Please help.
The best thing the programmers added was when you scale you can drag the mouse for ever like you can in 3DS Max Blender has needed that for a long time. I'll wait until 2.56 Beta is out of Beta. I
You clearly never read why 3DS Max developers kept the same layout, and never changed it much. they ask the people that used it if they would want the layout to change 91% of them said NO. Open source is about freedom to bad we don't have control over what you people change. I love Blender 2.49b , but Blender 2.5 I have to start learning all over. As they say time is money. I HOPE SOME ONE forks 2.49b into another 3D program, because it was the best blender made ...
@maw88ify I felt the same way a short time ago. I've since been using 2.5x for all my modeling needs. ( I use it for architectural modeling of projects I build in real life. From exterior hardscape, landscape, to custom furniture, fireplace mantels, complex moldings, and built in book cases.)
Thus far, The only real issue (now that I've learned basic interface layout) is a lot of my hot keys aren't working.
I've searched relentlessly throughout blender controls to no avail.
@hunzedog your talking about the 3D manipulator? That's the only item in the 3d view port I know rbg. Look to the bottom header. There is an icon which is rgb. Hope this helps
You must be in Object mode. From the Object menu, go to Transform, then Set Center. You have the choices Center Cursor, Center New, and Objdata to Center at the right, in the Type area.
I cant MOVE AROUND in blender at all. all I can do is zoom in

Thanks. I was just looking to see where the alt-left button rotate had gone. Your tut was much more informative and I'm sure to watch it again .

ps. Instead of reaching across the keyboard to stop an action...just right click and it will cancel the current action.
