The ad lacks integrity with glaring loopholes in Tebow's story. Allred is right that Philipinnes's anti-abortion law explicits states that the state "equally protects the life of the mother and the life of the unborn from conception"..

.. which means that any doctor would be silly to commit the crime of advising any woman to get an abortion EVEN if it means to save the woman's life.

The baby isn't developed enough to even be remotely aware of its own existence or experience pain. When it is aborted it's basically a clump of unaware cells.

I sort of understand the argument that it destroys the *potential* for a person, but even that doesn't make much sense when you consider that any person abstaining from sex is also destroying the potential for the babies they could be having if they were having unprotected sex.

Having nerves doesn't mean that something is able to "experience" pain in the way a conscious human does. Mice have nerves, but because their brains aren't very developed they don't experience pain/suffering in the same way humans do. The baby in the womb is the same way; even though it has nerves and might react to pain, it only "experiences" it in the way a mouse or something would.

Either way, I'm not making the claim that abortion is *good*. Just that it should be the mother's choice.
