Tyra Banks was one of the first "black" supermodels. She has an agenda. This isn't "America's Next Top Model". This is "America's Next Top Black Model". That is the real name of the show. There really is no other explanation for the disproportionate number of black girls on the show. And almost none of the girls Tyra has picked have landed contracts. Now compare that to the girls Tyra cuts who are all landing modeling contracts, simply from the exposure they got from the show.

Thats the whole reason Whitney went on the show. I hope that more full figured models try to get into the industry now. They're just as good. I think Whitney made a break through and I think she will go far.

that's your opinion, if "models" were supposed to be built like every onther girl than why would there be "models" in the first place? that's just how the industry was made. I personally was saying that Anya was better and deserved it more...yes whitney may have brought it on the catwalk but her pictures were not that good and lifeless. Like i said she's a pretty girl but that's just the reality of it. Why waste your time getting bent out of shape over someone's opinion?

well i agree with you there but i just didnt think that SHE deserved it because anya was overall a better model. people have been wanting the industry to change for years but i just don't think they will because it was built that way..it's sad but true...and even though she won i dont think her career will go very far.

I think this is the weakest season ever... past eason there is one who always shines from the other girls.. this season there was no one who is better than the others.. all ofthem were week...The only season that I really Like was 8 .. with Jaslene Gonzlaez won.. and Natasha was semifinalist.. they both raise the bar for America's Next Top Model Competition...

im so happy whitney came out on top. i was totally shocked too i thought fer sure anya would win. whitney has a great personality, shes full figured, and has an incredible runway walk which anya DID NOT have. yay whitney!

I'm not saying i hate anya. I like anya. I love her kindness and cuteness. But really, when it comes to personality i prefer whitney. She's a confident, strong woman. And frankly, I didn't really notice anya until episode seven or eight. Anyway.. GO WHITNEY! YAY!

Why does everyone hate whitney?? She deserved to win. She took amazing photographs. Yes she took one or two bad photos but she excelled at the runway! I think her walk is good, it shows personality. And I think whitey has a personality that stands out. I remember tyra questioning anya's personality, whether it was the real anya or she was just being the girl the judges want her to be.

Ok so I'm happy that Whitney won coz now it's important to see standarts of fashion change (reminder to everybody in the "Renacimiento period" girls were really more curvicious that today's skinny ugly type. BUT here is also another though in the REAL world which BIG designer is gonna book her? To be honnest I don't know and by the way Anya's pictures were way better in the whole competition but she felt FLAT on the runway.
