This is one of my favorite NYV arrangements. I find, from my own experience (there's a real iffy version of I'll Be Seeing You on YouTube that I'm a part of) that you don't realize how hard these arrangements are to do. It's so much more than just getting the notes and the chords. Listening to the NYV sing, they really feel each other. I find when another group does their stuff, things like tempos and just the emotional delivery of the piece get really awkward, as happens here. That being
for the first portion the blend seemed off, but I think this song sounds better with a slightly larger group. also near the end the timeing got a lil weird.
and the bass' voice didnt realy work that well for the solo parts
Wow...I didn't realize that cut off like that. Well, given that it was 8 months ago, I certainly don't remember. Loved the performance, though.
