Wow, this clip was way ahead of its time. The 'Karltoon' seems an early preset to the animated HBO version of the podcast, and 'Karl's Culture Corner' would have been a very budget version of 'An Idiot Abroad'.

In the mid to late 1600's a convoy of british vessels crashed into the shores of I believe Senegal. when they sought help from the locals, they were imprisoned and turned into slaves. Whitey took it to the next level for sure but you see

I honestly don't know why I wrote that I feel, rather foolish but I know I made a mistake. they did take europeans slaves before europeans took africans slaves but the rest of what I wrote was just rubbish. @dilwich123: actually karl, in another interview, talks about how they got a letter from an eskimo saying that he listens to their podcasts. that's why karl is saying their fan base is broad & widespread in the world. like karl said, he only expected maybe 10k at most to listen, but is surprised that it's reached millions in different parts of the world.
In this interview Lauren really shows she has class. She could sit there laughing at him, making jokes that go over his head, but she treats him with respect. I think Karl's a really interesting guy, but it makes me feel uneasy that he's basically become famous for having the piss taken out of him. I salute her for rising above that and treating him kindly.
