  • Since Bolt's foot spends less time on the ground his stride increases. FALSE !

The longer the contact time is, the the greater the acceleration. Usain Bolt's BIG advantage are his long limbs (legs). Because of his long legs his ground contact time islonger compaired to shorter sprinter at the same velocity. Longer ground contact means more time to develop the same or more force. F=m*a ; v=a*t The longer the acceleration or Force the higher the take off velocity!

  • @Manuelcr7 According to Latif Thomas, one of the top speed coaches in the country Usain Bolt leaves his foot static for just 0.08 seconds, and pushes 1,000 lbs of force through it. This allows Bolt to cover 100m in just 41 strides; the average for his Olympic competitors is 44.

  • very good analysis man

  • Song please.

  • Now you know why they call Usain "Lightning Bolt". He is as fast as lightning

  • Usain Bolt runs effortlessly. To run that fast he must have a mechanical advantage the way his feet and legs are put together. He doesn't jus run fast he flys down the track. What a magnificant runner.

  • I heard that 14 year old William May broke 11 seconds flat in the 100 meters.

    Is that true?

If that is true that is a fantastic time for high school.

What is your time in the 200 meters?

  • @Mparido1 ....thats crap....he never broke any such record
