It's gonna be a bitch getting out of this car, after just a minor car accident. Any denting to the body would misalign the door mechanism, making it impossible to open.

What happens when you have an electrical problem, like you get locked in. Or, perhaps worse yet, the door stays down in a blizzard!

What happens when the battery dies and your inside?.........or even worse when it malfunctions(as all machines do at one point or another) and you get trapped with one leg in and one out....Tell me, what would you do then?!?!?!?

I like the idea of no "door dings" in parking lots, nor be trapped by a car parked too close. I don't imagine much more environment entering car than standard type doors as this clip shows quick open & close time. I like added safety that car-jackers can't run up & open the door when stopped at a light. Clear view to back seat if stranger has managed to enter & hide. Was concerned how to escape after a car wreck, but that's concern for any door integrity then. I see pros outweighing cons.

But there are so many places around the world where there is not much rain - let alone blizzard.

There is definitely a huge market for this innovation.

It's a major inconvenience if a window gets stuck open, but can u immagine a side of ur car stuck open ? lol
