I would also like to know the specs on cost and number of batteries. This unit would most likely power an entire home and keep on smiling. He's basically got a 2400 watt or 2.4kw system there. I think each of his solar panels are 100 watts apiece. This looks to be a very good system. My average monthly consumption is around 1.6Kw and having a battery backup with a grid tie will keep him cozy. I will also be putting an outdoor wood burning furnace in so my gas bill will be nonexistent.
Running my entire house only uses 450 watts max. Thats 3 tvs 1 xbox Fridge/freezer, 5 lights and central heating pump. Now when i power up the entire kitchen the wash machine, electric cooker, toaster, electric kettle, the watt meter flys up to 7000 kw.
Whats the problem with turning off things you're not using anyway...
Does this power your whole house or just part of it? What was the total cost of the install and how long will it take you to recover that cost? Thanks!
@helloman1976 i doubt that he can power his whole house with 2KW. unless he is one of those that turn of the light as he leaves a room and don't have to worry about heating the house up.
@timonix2 Well if this thing is producing 2Kwh of power it could run my whole household for sure. I live in a 1600 sq ft house in Florida and my AC runs 24/7 in the summer, my last power bill was based on 2089kwh.
@dzgfdg This is coming from the 32 year old dude who has Taylor Swift videos on his YouTube page? Get a life bro, time to move out your parents basement.
I cant wait to get my own property so I can put of like a few windmills and solar pannels I just cant wait, and I cant wait to get my first windmill built so I cna start producing myown power. and also my solar pannels I figured every tax sesion I will invest in to buying solar pannels and the parts I need to suplement my power. just need and gridtie inverter that will power my home if th epower goes out and also turn off main if need be.
What type of hybrid charge controller is that? And do you have more info on your system's specs? I have only solar, but would like to add wind as well. Any thoughts or changes of how you would have done things? Hy from sunny FL
