  • Also by the way, Chavez is not a communist, he is a Bolivian socialist.

  • Oh please, I dont see one bit of democratic and collective ownership of the means of production by the WORKING CLASS in America. However, I support all peoples right to succeed from any nation.

  • secession, its the right thing to do with these idiots in washington. Jim wison for vice president and the texas govenor for president

  • Bring it on!!!!!

  • (continued from below) wouldn't run into the same problems that America has now, or at least the ones you think they have, state governments are muddled to, why not break it down to individuals, or rather how about communities of people sharing their resources in a mutual way which best suits there needs and survival... communities, communes, communism.

  • Technically any government or institution that collects money mandatorily from the populace and distributes to a vast array of institutions to serve that populace is exercising socialist principles. Which means without those principles you could say goodbye to the army, roads, public schools, libraries, police, firefighters, and to some degree health care. A state government now a days would be about as large or controlling as large a population as the early United States, who is to say they

  • Better to be poor without niggers; or (to elaborate), better to not be told what is good when we know it is NOT and be told to like what we hate. Beauty remains beauty however much Socialist Hollywood tries to twist it. America will wake up the hard way it seems. Enjoy your perverted idiocy!

  • There is a simple solution. If the federal government was forced by the people to use the Constitution we could get our Republic back. The States don't need to secede they are already sovereign. Each state is a nation, the Union is a federation of sovereign states, not a nation. What happened to our education system? Teach the Constitution. We are a Republic, not a Democracy, yes there is a difference.

  • @nebaioth um do you not think obama is'nt there jsut as a talking head puppet just like every president we've had since jfk you do relieze the federal reserve and the bilderberg group and the cfr are who really run this country right obama is just another in a long line of puppets

  • But first we have to think of a good way to make sure they cant sneak back in for free health care when they get sick.

  • Yes, add the Northeast and you'll have about 2/3 of the countries tax revenue. They can keep the remaining 1/3.

  • Cool, us blue states will stick together. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation.: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.

We get stem cell research and the best beaches.

We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.

We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss.

We get 85% of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You get Alabama. We get Hollywood and Yosemite.

We get two-thirds of the tax revenue; you get to make the red states

    pay their fair share.

  • Stem cell research is not exclusive to any state(s), nor is there any reason to think it would be, if some number of states seceded.

It's true that the heavy industrial and financial sectors are more developed in historically blue states, but you forget that the agricultural sector is far more developed in historically red states.

What makes you think blue states would not opt for secession, if that were a viable option? There are secessionist organizations in CA, as well as in New England.

  • Wow, really good article! Good food for thought!

  • Nicely done, SA!

  • South Carolina would be a million times better without the District of Corruption running our lives. I think eliminating DC from our lives is absolutely necessary.

  • try and secede, it won't get father then the ATF blowing you away with all the other nuts.

  • Why wouldn't they allow sucession ?

  • Because the government needs the south's money and resources.
