i used to work at bojangles and i can tell you right now that even though the food is good, they treat their workers like crap. they give you horrible hours and make you do a lot of work for a very terrible hourly wage. i was getting paid $7.31 an hour and i quit because i felt it wasnt enough money for the type of work that is involved.
@petruccifan38 ... and in the rest of the story Bojangles didn't miss a beat, they hired someone else, forgot about you, and the person who took your place rose to management because they had a good work ethic and didn't feel like they were too good to put in a hard day's work. The end.
Were you in a corporate store or a franchise? I'm working in a bojangles now. Some workers get more hours, some less. It all depends on work ethic and available hours. Do the job, prove you're worth more hours, you get them. You also get a better chance at raises by taking on more responsibility. If you don't think they were paying you enough, ask how you can make more, don't complain.
We follow all health codes established by the Food & Drug Administration and enforced by the local health departments. The restaurant featured here currently has a health score of 99. FDA food code states that a person must wear gloves when handling ready to eat foods, not raw foods that are going to be cooked (therefore killing any possible bacteria), as you see in this video. This is standard practice at practically all restaurants.
Ask someone in food service about why gloves aren't as good as you think. Know those gloves subway employees wear when they're making your food? guess how long they've had them on.
By working without gloves, you feel when your hands are dirty and you wash them a lot more. Have fun getting sick from one of those "clean" restaurants where the workers always wear gloves
@tmsbrdrs2 Yeah I guess so. I used to work all kinds of food places. Some servers would go to the bathroom with the gloves on and come back with the gloves on

Nice store. That broken lattice work should have been edited out. Also a packed store would have been a plus. Love the food!
