Is it possible to quickly skip to a part of a track using a controller on the device, in a similar way that a FF button or needle drop feature works, for cueing a point on the fly towards the end/middle of a tune?

ya, dope vid for real..dj's gotta realize that this is the 'FUTURE'...not doggin 1200's, (bought mine in '86, have vci now)..but unless you can say that you a 100% scratch/juggler dj, then you dont have ANY reason to have turntables! regular MIX DJs only need ANY controller and a laptop.PERIOD...so only spend your money on turntables if you plan on scratchin..for mixin..controllers and pc are the way to go....

He did something similar with Rhyme Mania at some conference or something, but I hit the record button in the middle of a set which just so happened to be while I was playing Rhyme Mania. Maybe if I started the video a little later it wouldn't appear to be a "bite" but I guess 2 different DJs can't play the same songs in a similar style? This is just basic trick mixing, which is something I learned before i heard of the term.

Haha..I've set up my VCI 300 the same way you did...right on top of the turntable covers, and angling it at 45 degrees so that the 3 legs will sit firmly on top and it's a perfect height for scratching.

Cdj 400 is much more advanced with more options. Most big clubs have the cdj 1000 with serato live. I never seen any clubs with a midi controller.

Thanks! You can reverse the fader. It has a longer cut-in than the Rane mixer, but I think it's the same as other Vestax mixers. Nice resistance on the faders too. The upfaders are the long ones and they also have a cut/curve adjust.

There's a cable you can use to do that. Probably just a regular RCA to 1/8" or RCA to RCA. Check your connections then head to Radio Shack or Walmart.
