Extreme Notebook Server Case Mod

This is not a Casemod, this is a Casecon.

All nice and grimy looking notebook. I really like it!

But how come I ain't seeing  no case mods like making molds out of the plastic cases and casting them or machining them from aluminum, and using the case as a heatsink, removing so all the fans and original sinks?

I'd love to do it but I don't have yet the tools... but i hope this idea catches on. :)

They are just playin with it, cause it sounds pretty much alike...

be non è che tu abbia fatto gran che! hai solo smontato la "case" del computer e le sue componenti, per poi rimontarlo sopra un tavolino senza la "case" e hai aggiunto dei neon per farlo sembrare più bello..... non sempra che te lo abbia modificato radicalmente!

schöne gepflegte arbeit, so muss das gemacht werden, mit hand und fuss alles andere is für die tonne. ich hätte versucht n flaches gehäuse zu bauen (aus den rückwänden von big tower(n?) vom schrott), wo mann an alle anschlüsse ran kommt, die hardware gut verstaut ist. etwas dicker als das laptop selber, damit man die cpu dann passiv gekühlt werden kann, sofern physikalisch möglich, evl quadcore und undervolting weil die ic's und mosfets sind ja auf das absolut minimalste reduziert.

Ich würde aus meinem P35 auch gerne einen Server machen, allerdings weiß ich noch nicht wie ich das mit der passiven CPU-Kühlung hinbekommen soll. Habe dir eine Nachricht hier über Youtube geschickt. Wäre nett, wenn du dich mal melden könntest.
