@jansarestupidfucks actually, grabbing the drakesword is just a timesaver, it's really easy to just grind and create a better weapon which I did due to liking the katanas more than the drakesword, but getting it will make that faster. You still need skill to be able to beat the rest of the bosses, unless you use iron skin + havel armor, which is way too OP imo

don't level early on, go for good gear first, the game scales difficulty with your level, so if you level up quick with crap eq, it will be very difficult. Sorcerer FTW, at lvl 10 I have 60 soul arrows and 12 heavy soul arrows.. makes the grind alot faster.

Dont grind in dark souls, there is no point. When you get to the depths its a good idea to grind for humanity from the rats near the bonfire though. If your going to do this leave a sign so you can help others fight the boss dragon.

15 arrows or so if you DEX is high. If you have around 10 DEX get ready to shoot around 90 arrows...

@EricSteveRatzlaff go to firelink shrine, go underneath the bonfire and down an "elevator" you'll be in new londo ruins. you'll see a bunch of non hostile hollow. go towards the right. you'll see a hollow layin on his side lookin outwards. go left of tht hollow and keep lookin to your right he's right there. doesnt matter if u go there once the crow brings u or after u ring the two bells; doesnt matter..

it may take 1 to 5 hours to get through one area, but after you went through it and come back to it later, or create a new character, it takes proably 5 to 10 minutes to clear the area. The game is only hard first playthrough. Even on a new game plus you still know where everything is and how to approach an enemy.

Biggest tip for Dark/Demon Souls:

Don't Rush/Take Your Time

Especially for the 360 users who are used to Call of Duty, Halo, and every other FPS game in the world.

If you rush into a enemy hoard expecting to hack and slash your way through, you will die.

All other tips are either comparatively unimportant or (hopefully) self-explanatory to the thinking gamer.

If you're using the Shortbow to get the Drake Sword, make sure you have the 12 Dexterity required to wield it effectively. That 12 Dex is the difference between 25 arrows and 250.

lols i love how you guys all rage; btw heres a couple glitches i've heard just to share:

1. if you go to the parish beginning (where you climb the ladder after the 3 rats) you can climb all the way to the top and shoot the dragon, instant killing him (didn't work for me, good luck)

2. if you fire an arrow at the dragon then run all the way back to the fire (underneath the bridge) you can glitch him off the bridge.

3. ..if you fire multible arrows at his tail (even when he's on bridge) he'll die
