Might I suggest that not ALL black people have to 'sing like this'. Some sing opera, folk, country, rock, blues and more!It is a choice based on a natural feel for a particular musical style (Sarah Vaughan happens to be one of the best at this particular style)the style is called JAZZ. Of course i know what Jazz is my dear; but its not my favorite kind of music;(I like Maria Callas, which is Opera;)regardless if she re-arranged the song or not, i still think she lacks the style and grace it takes to be a star; stars should not go around in big bag lookalike hideous dress, sweating like a pig in heat; stars have charisma, personality, and class; that's one thing she will never have over Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand or Billie Holiday! This is J.A.Z.Z.Y. baby, get on board. I love me some Barbra, but her style was right out of the Gay clubs and the continued legacy of Judy Garland, you cannot and should not compare.

In reference to what BLACK singers do with a song that is called improv or if you want VAMPING.
