The KJV also makes some serious errors in translation. No version of the Bible is "perfect." It would be best to learn Greek and Hebrew and use a lexicon. In general, newer scholarly versions are actually more accurate translations from the best original sources. Sorry, but that is just a fact. God's Word is still His infallible Word, and will be heard IN SPITE OF the FALLIBLE human sources who translate and copy it. ""ALL Scripture is PROFITABLE,,." ALL.

@GospelHouseKat I probably have written this before to you. Muslims and cults are in complete agreement with you. Muslims use the "Christian" commentaries and corrupt verses from modern translations to prove that the KJV isn't as reliable as the Koran is.

Stating that the NKJV is like marijuana in that leads to harder things is unfounded in fact. Marijuana is not a gateway drug as indicated by such a statement; rather it is a terminus for most. They present you with statistical propoganda to get you to believe the gate way ideology. The stastics really show that those who use harder drugs are very likely to use marijuana too; not that marijuana leads to hard drug use. Nevertheless, I would not read the NKJV because it is a bad translation.

@Vlaxerman343 I am not too familiar with those versions. From the research I have done, however, most newer English translations are lacking. That is why I stick to the King James Version, which is also recognized as Foundational Law in the United States of America in Public Law 97-280. It doesn't say the KJV specifically but history shows that the Government commissioned the KJV to be printed for distribution to all courts of law. You can find out about the translations through research.

The biggest clue that the New King James Version is a perversion of the Bible is that it is copyrighted! Who could ever claim a copyright to the Word of Elohim. I bought two copies and got them home to discover the copyright. The next day I returned them. Luckily, I did not give one to my friend who is early in his spiritual developement which was the original plan.

Yes the contemporary catholic system is in a state of apostasy especially at the top levels of the Catholic church in the vatican, the pope and his ministers as well. King James is not as altruistic as portrayed here-learn history before bowing to a dead white man who has no authority. Also just because people say that they have good intentions don't mean that they do. KJV is not the solution to the very few and very minor differences in translations, studying and thinking for yourself and using a Hebrew/Greek dictionary is. Otherwise you are outsourcing your thinking to someone else and setting someone like this man over you who has no accountability.

@BereanBeacon1 Depending upon the Muslim you hug, he may not appreciate it. Muslims have scripture which were lost, eaten by animals according to the Hadith. So that they say they have it right when what they have says a man who raped, murdered & stole is superior to Christ!?! Not to mention the way Arabic was written back then was without diacritical marks so you don't know what vowels and the interpretation can vary greatly. Even for Arabic speakers, parts of the Koran are unintelligible.

@BereanBeacon1 Try showing a Muslim how the versions agree, that works fine in my experience & experience of someone else I know. If they still don't believe you, teach about the MT&TR, & that you can always check.  You're not helping by reinforcing the Qur'an's propaganda, which by the way only starts saying the Jews and Christians corrupt the word of God after Muhammad found out it disagreed with what he wrote so far. This happened long before Muslims appeared on your side of the debate.
