I was wondering if you know how to create the same affect that Canon uses in their commercial that shows the football player catching the football while the rest of the background stays still and then the foreground and background mesh soon afterwards. The other affect is the child in the back seat of the car with the window open. His hair than moves but everything freezes momentarily until again the foreground and bacground mesh completing the scene. Any ideas?

@meltdownman1 That Canon commercial was a compilation of photographs taken with one of their cameras, the commercial was promoting the camera's themselves. (Not recorded with film) As for the other I know there's several ways to do it, but you'd need fairly expensive very high speed cameras for it. Again there's other ways, but I don't know that much in depth, but I hope that helps a little.

Your colors are a bit overly-saturated and for future reference you should probably sand-bag those lights.

How do you figure they are overly-saturated colors? They look like they fall within legal limits, but I think the whole idea was to exaggerate the highlighted colors... Do you think there is a problem for broadcast legal issues? Perhaps it's just the codec they used, or You Tube uses.

It took me 20 years to manage Photoshop, but I think girls are better than guys for artistic things, I'm teaching photoshop to my 9 years old daugther and she catch it very quickly !

Lights are top heavy when on a stand and the power cord is just hanging down waiting to grab a stray foot...What we do is loop the cord around the base of the stand so any hooked feet will pull the stand from the bottom lessening the chance of tipping the light over.

Beautiful girls with beautiful voices and a great sense of humor...Great editing. This video has a bit of everything.

Very nice tutorial! Just to let you know that this could easily be done with chroma keyer on Sony Vegas, only it wouldn' t really show the sparkles on the dresses :x

Well, you then use chroma keyer on the color that you wish to keep, you then set everything in your clip to grayscale, using the black and white effect. You then find a color background of the original item that you wanted to keep the color of. You then place that in the track below it. And wala! Same effect! Only it wouldn't show most textures and sparkly stuff o.O
