  • I bought the "Worlds Apart" record when I was in highschool, Got the CD for this Christmas and now that I am older I have the notion that I need to get more. Thank goodness that now there is youtube, I can go shopping for the stuff that isnt what I have. You real fans have any suggestions for me?

  • @Deputybull i like saga clever these guys comined the musicstyle from STYX,RUSH and TOTO.

  • and... don´t be late... QUALITY OF SAGA. The peoples know this. Or not, reallily? SAGA is the best in this time! YOU KNOW THE FLYER?

  • Saga is great. This is my personsl favorite song of theirs.

  • Saga 34 keer gezien ze zijn geboren en leven als podiumbeesten!

  • Oh my f*cking God... These guys still makes me happy! Lot's of new music which I like but Saga, Rush, Camel, Journey keeps on make me smile over and over again!

  • Heute wie damals---einfach perfekte Musik!

    Live perfekt!

  • This song is most EXCELLENT!!!! ROCK ON!!!!!!!

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin

Very Genesis influenced song and I can hear the Canadian accent in his speaking voice mainly 'because' I hear it everyday here in Tar-On-Toe.

  • @MrMegaFredzeppelin Yes, This a most excellent song. I wanna take a moment out of the daily rush of life and chores and close my eyes and listen intently to this. Thank you.

  • let the good times roll........I,ve seen SAGA 3 times and every concert was a highlight

  • @aizunokami ja elk concert geven ze meer als 120 procent

  • saga are class! saw these lads perfom live twice. fantastic...

  • saga is a canadian progressive rock band, tipigi is right. i saw them back in my college years in san juan, pr. they were awesome in every of their three concerts.

  • Kaptenmork....Saga is Canadian...

  • IMMER NOCH GEIL-THANKS FOR DOWNLOAD-

  • Germans + synthesizers + drums + singer with big hair = winning formula! Bands like Saga and Scorpions will never die.

  • people... have a look at the instrumentation available when this In Transit production took place...

The whole key section here back in the days..had less memory and processor power than a tamagotchi nowadays :-)

Saga - In Transit ? Milestone Album

Real music, i'm thankful for growin up with.

    Peace

  • Super album

  • Actually they were sponsored by Moog for a while - but not when this was filmed. Only one Polymoog on stage BTW. The bass player has a JP4 and Multimoog.

  • cool tune 30years ago,is that a kitten on his upper lip?

  • if u love this music check WORK OF ART THE GREAT FALL

  • fucking rasict scum saga die

  • @presmokan

This is not THAT Saga. The Saga you mean is some 35 year old woman.

  • I remember, like it was yesterday!

If you could go back, - back into time to any year of your life, what year would you go back to?

  • Saga is not 100% canadian, Sadler is from ''Isle of Man'' and the drummer from England. Dont compared Saga with Triumph......

  • @pewploid The original drummer, Steve Negus, was born in Hamilton. As for Sadler, he was born in Wales and moved to Canada when he was 3.... You cant compare Saga to Triumph; Saga is far more progressive and complex.

  • @Chain1234 Well, he now live in Isle of Man. And as for Triumph, it was a glam-rock band ...You're right for Saga, it was far more complex .....

  • How about Steve Negus on drums. Simply mind blowing in concert. London Gardens around "80-"81.

  • One of the most underrated bands to come out of Canada, first saw them in 79 still a big fan.

  • Actually, when Saga tours with Marillion in November, Michael's going to float the idea of bringing the tour to the States.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed!!! :-)))

  • Nice Pornostache

  • @APortraitofUtopia That's just wrong dude! Everyone has their own musical tastes. Some are cultural driven others force fed to us by our parents when we were children. Some evolve and learn to appreciate a vast variety of musical genres and others just digress into their own little world trapped by either their own fears or insecurities.

  • @APortraitofUtopia Ya every decade has it's crap to

  • I went back in time and I don't want to return back to the present. Love the guitars the drummer, the vocals, nothing like him and his mustache... lol

  • i think that´s the lost Sound of the 80´s - I like it and there´s nothing new that´s just a bit of it like this Sound...- I´m very proud ´cause I ´ve been to a Concert in Bremen in the 80´s.

  • @karsten2704

Genau....Saga Boston Kansas Yes King Krimson John Mc Laughlin das waren noch Act`s

  • saga gave world the first good drummers

  • that moustache weighs 20 lbs !

    lol

  • I saw them in Puerto Rico in 1986 and the show was awesome..........

  • I LOVE this band!! Was lucy to see them in NORWAY!! in the 80's!!!!! Still in love with the "briefcase"... But I'm not to late.... hehehehehehe....

  • I saw this band in NORWAY in the 80's!! Still in love!! ;-) "never to late"?....

  • IMAGES AT TWILIGHT ... my favourite album. :) not to mention one of the coolest covers too.

  • As an American I must say that I go to Canada to see the best bands in the world. I was just in Montreal to see the Marillion Weekend convention. As I neared the city, I tuned into CHOM FM97.7 and immediately heard SAGA - "On The Loose"!! I thought to mself, damm this is going to be a great weekend. Parents, teach your children the meaning of good music written by bands that have been there and done it...not the crap fly by night that's out there today.

  • @TheDutchskipper hey D.S. .. i love SAGA, been too long since i've seen them, but good news, did you know they're coming to Montreal in October?, you probably did,but though i'd mention it anyway.

  • @TheDutchskipper Agreed. they don't make music like they used to. hate this rap crap or this pop bull, back in the days it was about the talent with real instruments, it meant something, today is about the money and the spot light,.wonder why im stuck in the past, 50s through the 80's is the best era for anything.

  • I LOVE SAGA-- but I don't remember this song... remember crankin the vinyl at a friends house - this and ADAM ANT- Kings of the Wild Frontiers...ah.. when young...haha.. hard to believe over 25 years ago--

  • Jeebus Christmas, Does that mustache have it's own time zone?

  • Great song. I remember seeing the video for this on MTV. Very cool band.

  • I`v seen a hell of alot of bands and the band that reproduces the album best live is Saga and I`v seen Rush, Journey, Run DMC, etc !!

  • This song is a fucking hidden gem masterpiece of progressive rock. Almost on par with the great songs of the 70's prog: "The Musical Box"(Genesis) and "Roundabout" (Yes). And the best is it doesn't sound like anything else. This is the song that sums up Sagas unique style perfectly.

  • This is a masterpiece!

  • WoW what a great news!!! :) Saga forever!!!

  • To put all the rumours to rest

We are happy to officially announce that

Michael Sadler is once again the Singer and Frontman in Saga!!

The new studio CD and tour news with Michael will be up very soon!

We wish Rob all the best in the future with his new Solo CD!

  • @XWinfield Any word if they'll be in the Philadelphia area this year? I can't believe I did not see this band in the '80's when I was heavily into my prog rock phase.... actually, I still am!

  • @CHHSE1986

    i think no :-(

but check the official saga page for Tourdates !

  • @XWinfield Great, if we can get back to the original sound, not the recent bland stuff away from what made me love Saga

  • @XWinfield SUPER!!!!!

  • @XWinfield That is really good news. I loved the singer on the latest album, but thought Saga was headed in the right direction on the previous album.

  • I wish Michael would join Saga again. I want to see them in concert. They are all so awesome and Ian kicks butt on guitar!

  • total class. saga are brill.

  • saga and other canadiian bads rule

  • proud of this canadian band, they will always rain supream as one of my all time fav bands. god bless

  • Fuck! That mustache has it's own area code!

  • @14rerun

Yes! That's a 70's style 'stash' ! Back when facial hair was king.

  • Fucking amazing band, their earlier stuff was the best but their newer stuff is good too. im only 16 too. i love the days when music used to have meaning

  • Einfach SAGA-Haft

  • the first time i heard this song must of been close to 22 years ago,i listen to it today and it still fucking great...long live these bands, saga rush triumph etc..THE FUCK WITH TODAYS MUSIC!!!!!!

  • what a band,are they canadian?yes,SAGAlove it,jim montreal

  • i am from states .this band kicks but

  • i miss so much these times, when i listen to saga every day....what a band.

  • As I know, one of them was a technician - in Montreal - for the Mood company during the late 70's.

  • Blimey. Were these guys sponsored by Moog? Two PolyMoogs, Two Mini's, a Multi and a Taurus as far as I can see, (Along with a CP80 Piano and CS80)

  • He has a very Borat looking mustache!!

  • cant figure out how todays musicians sell there music, what a bunch of fucking crap...long live saga!!!!

  • ich hab schnauzbart und seine gang damals in den 80ern in der olympiahalle gesehen. und ian kreischton hatte den gitarrensound mit verstärker so hingebracht. das war klasse!

  • fuck that was great

  • Welchen Gitarrensound spielt Ian Chrichton?(Verstärker ,Tretmine,)Ich finde nichts im netz, was er spielt

  • saga rules!!!!!!!!!!!!! world's apart .stay tune dudes.visit spiritmatic on lastfm.

  • Oh the days where even synth was actually played, with your hands, as opposed to just created on a computer...where have those days gone...hooray for Oakville, creating such talent.

  • Viv Savage on keys?

SAGA had a minor hit in the U.S. with On The Loose.

  • Michael Sadler does not have a mustache. What you see here is just the incredibly pure awesomeness of his voice crystallizing on his upper lip. It would surely kill all of us if we were allowed to hear it directly.

  • @stickyfox yes thats it man , you can see it morph on to his face just before the awesomeness almost kills the first 3 rows of people !

  • @stickyfox ROTFLMAO!!!! Brilliant explanation..

  • @stickyfox he did have one at one time

  • @stickyfox

LOL! I didn't know that was a mustache. For a moment, I thought that a Walrus had taken up residence on his upper lip.

  • I heard of this group from my love. He is Romanian. I admit...I have not heard of Saga, until I knew my darling.

  • These guys are GODS in Germany. . . Still!

  • Simply a great Band!! Another diamond from the 80´s

  • The lead singer looks like Brad Delp from Boston

  • I remember seeing them on the "World's Apart" tour they toured with billy Squire. now billy is a great artiat but we walked out after 3 songs from him after seeing Saga perform in my opinion they should have head lined that concert

I also remember the drummer during a song dropping from his trap set under the stage and being pulled out from the riser sitting behind a Simon' s electronic Drum set

  • Agreed! But you are far and in between! Peace

  • I caught the Saga train when they released Images at Twilight, and never looked back. I had the privilege of metting the guys during the "Worlds Apart" tour, what a great bunch of folks.

Oh, and just in case you haven't noticed, pure musical genius at work here!

  • yep..i remember as a kid..this is the same year year when they went to san juan, puerto rico and sold out 3 nites at the national stadium in san juan....

  • there are only TWO PLACES where they love saga like their "son"...germany and Puerto Rico...

  • Saga is a fantastic Canadian band, big in Germany, boy how times flies with the band, very young Steve Negus on drums and Mike Saddler, Jim Gilmour and Jim and Ian Crighton, miss the originals for sure, I have 7 of there albums and the In Transit Album, my best is by far On The Loose , Wind them up, but pretty much like them all.

  • @Terrymikla

The name is Michael Sadler, not Saddler. The Song is called Wind him up,not wind them up.,and the brothers of the Band ,the name is Crichton, not Crighton.Greetings from Germany,Gelsenkirchen

  • REMEMBER

Canada is not only about Celine Dion and Justin Bieber, it is also about Saga, Rush, Triumph, Voivod, Bachman Turner Overdrive...

  • @666tabarnak Don't forget nash the slash and FM!

  • encore un groupe à redécouvrir. bons musicos. belle voix. j'adore. ça me rappelle de bons souvenirs.merci

  • Is that Todd on vocals?

  • @DJRoxi

  • @XWinfield My bad .... it's Michael Sadler :) Sorry my mind was on Todd Rundgren ... LOL Lack of coffee :)

  • @XWinfield Todd is Luke's Brother.

  • @XWinfield Todd Rundgren of course. A True Wizard.

  • @XWinfield todd..lol..yup, he knows saga lol

  • @DJRoxi Nah thats Micheal Staedler an anglo-jew from isle of man.

His voice was very special for that type of music....

  • @DJRoxi

It looks like a singing poodle...

  • Ian Crichton is one of the most talented underrated guitar players in rockin roll. Attack, timing, creativity and genius. His solos have something to say...

  • Saga is one of the best bands that nobody knows about. They are not commercial, they have a cult following. I do not know any fans of Saga. I ask people if they know about them. Everyone says never heard of them.

  • @petesteeler

    So true and sad..

    They're so 80:s OK?

    And the're so wonderful muzicians

Well Beethoven and Mozart sureley felt the same?

    New times, new orders?

Will anyway love their muzic for ever..!!

  • @petesteeler well not everybody. I saw them together with Styx playing in a little hall in Neukirchen, Germany about 1981. Since them I love them

  • @petesteeler Hey my father use to play saga and I would do the exact same thing and look for it in stores until utube I couldn't find it... They are one of the classics of rock and roll.

  • Anyone know if the lyrics of Jim Gilmour's whispered backing vocals are printed out anywhere?

  • Great band these. lucky to see them twice in the "old" days!

  • Saga rules!!

  • The guitarist plays like a page right out of the Alex Lifeson book of newave guitar. His sound sure sounds like he borrowed a little from permanent waves and moving pictures.

  • Just found this tape, have not heard it in years! I glad I found it, Awesome music!

  • anyone notice ian changed guitars? he must have broken a string or something.

  • Härlig gammal nostalgi!! Schysst musche!!

I am fan of Rush(not only because Alex Lifeson is Serb but also 'cause it is one of greatests bands ever) but i enjoy every song of Saga. It is so proggressive and can relax till nirvana.
