@iraqidolphin He couldn't kill her if she would have told the police that he did that to her when they were putting her in the ambulance. He would have been arrested right then and there so no harm could have been done to the kids either. And also it was her choice in the end to stay with him as long as she did knowing she could not work and her kids would have a terrible life seeing the abuse,so now that she's waited that long it will be hard to find a place to live,that was her choice though.

It's not that simple as you put it right now.

When it comes to abuse it's not like you just tell the police.

It's not just the physical part but mental abuse as well. Maybe she was scared that the police wouldn't believe her or that he would hurt her kids.

And even if she did tell and the police would have arrested him, it's not like they would have put him in jail for the rest of his life.

He knows that and she did as well.

And he would have killed her when he got out.

@dingetje Right,and that's why when he was in jail she could have gotten far away and had a restraining order filed on him so he couldn't come near her when he got out of jail. After all she was put through the court would put him in prison for a verrrry long time if she pressed charges. It's not simple,but it's 100000x better than what she DID do,which at this part of the movie was nothing at all.
