We seen education almost eradicated from uk schools! my daughter left school with almost no education, and u patronise me by saying education is better when the teachers arent educated themselves! get urself outa here when u start blaming others u lose! Hmmm not sure it's helpful how presenters do interviews in such an aggressive way! We agree that so many kids leaving education without basic qualifications is unacceptable. We think the solution lies in more opportunities for different kinds of learning - practical, vocational, work-based, etc.

Good point re diplomas - Edge (the charity I support) is a big fan of diplomas, the CEO andy powell has described them as a "once in a generation opportunity to reform education" and hopefully broaden the horizons of kids who are currently getting sidelined just because they don't enjoy academic learning!
