  • Wow! You are incredibly talented. Thanks for the GLOSS - excellent job with that too :)

  • this guy needs to sign some more songs

    its been far too long

is bf taking that much time hahah

  • RUSSIAN GUY TELL-HIM. I'm going to find some reason to sign that in history class...

  • So, in ASL are the conjunctions and plurals and articles and what not just assumed or what? Also i LOVE these videos, and ASL, and your facial expressions as you sign, and everything about this!

  • @ProfessorClad From what I can gather (I've yet to start classes,) the main goal of ASL is just to get your message through. Conjunctions aren't needed, as it has it's own "grammar," and I think for plurals you have to sign a number than the singular item.

  • you are AWESOME!!I'm learning sign language now and you really inspired me :) where did you learn it?

  • Every time you went out of the picture I was like: get back! get back! :( :p

  • OH MY GOD. You do ASL and love Jonathon Coultan?! I love you!

  • stephen you are my favorite person to watch do ALS. Im sure people tell u alot but Ill tell ya again.....u have a gift! God bless

  • Thank you , used this video today for my class .

  • this song makes me happy n sad at the same time i imagine a happy dog in doggy heaven but at the same time it doesnt need its human anymore :'(

  • Very expressive, and so, even more effective. ASL as it should be done! Well done - all these videos. This is my fave I think.

  • Love th ball at 2:18

  • Makes me cry every time.

  • One of the saddest songs ever. The video makes it even more sad. Great job.

  • I'd like to see you do some Paul & Storm songs like this :)

  • nicely done!

  • is this your tribute to LAIKA, the female dog that become the first live form sent out of space? it's nice to think that she felt fine before dying in the name of science...

  • @krolhenz yes that is what this song was in written in tribute of

  • Was this song meant to be a sort of spoof on David Bowie's Space Oddity? Regardless, both songs are equally awesome and make me very sad at the end...

  • @KuhlKatze yes this song was written by Jonathan Coulton for a contest of "Space Oddity" spoofs.

  • R.I.P. Latika- The first Dog on the Moon.

  • @MetalKeybladeMaster She never got that far.. Sputnik was a satellite, not a lunar lander. >.>

  • @tedward1986 Right. Sorry, my memory is a little fuzzy.

  • You are pretty good with the whole free floating thing. When the ball flew across the screen, your face was so sad lol. It was adorable. I actually was like, "aww" when I saw it.

  • That was really good. I wanted to cry at the same time while watching it, though. Where can I get this song?

  • this is so sad...

  • This is a REALLY sad song :[

  • I'm impressed, man. Normally I tear up like a dumb bawlbaby at this song...I got about 25 seconds in and burst out laughing.

  • Beautiful, and silly, and ... man. Really really good. Thanks for this!

  • Your videos are fantastic!!

  • i love your video's. hey can you do season's of love form rent.

  • Beautifull! Thank you!

  • ngh that poor dog T_T;

  • I don't even think I know anybody with any hearing problems but I can't stop watching this!!

  • These are wonderful videos! I would truly appreciate you putting the CC on them, if you could. Just the glosses would suit me fine :)

  • Welcome back! Fantastically entertaining, as always.

  • You should definitely be on the big screen! You got that look!

  • @CulturalCareSD "that look" most likely entails facial expressions.

  • Another great performance. Glad to see you back!

  • Do you use two signs for "dog" when you sign "thanks for the dog food?" I see both the leg pat (ok it is mostly off camera) as well as the finger tap signs, that is why I was wondering. That reminds me, I need to return those "beginning signs for children" books I borrowed and learned those from before I go camping for a week...

  • That's one sign, and it's what we learned in class. I guess you could shorten it to either one for convenience.

  • One of the beginning signs books I have had the leg pat, the other the finger tap- I guess they were shortened since they are for children just starting to learn, to make it easier for them.

  • That's the wonderful thing about sign, it's kind of a language of convenience in that so long as it's understood, it's correct.

  • Fantastic as always my friend. Great work.

  • Beautifully done!

(Also, damn you! I was just getting to the point where this song no longer brought a tear to my eye. And then you go and do this!)

  • This video is full of floaty goodness!

  • I can't believe nobody has commented on the bit with the ball yet... I love that part (though I don't know ASL except for what I've learnt from your videos, so it's only natural I'd like the more pantomime-y parts) and also the way you turn around/into a dog when the rocket goes up is a nice touch.

It's a good song for an ASL interpretation, since in space, no one can hear you anyway.

  • Love the songs.

  • Captain Valor ... whatever ship you are steering, or plane you are flying, I am definitely a happy passenger. Thanks so much for Coulton + ASL. Purely satisfying and wonderful to watch. And by the way, clean shaven is definitely a nice look for you.

  • It's so lame that this song kinda makes me want to cry. Poor adventurous doggie!

  • Wonderful interpretation. I have been studying all languages and watching you helps me study the non auditory language prevalent in north america

  • As always.. ITS A PLEASURE to watch your vids, smile. Are you an "Interpreter" ?. If your not, might i suggest you think about becoming one !. My peers and I could TRULY BENEFIT from your "Natural Native Language" You ROCK DUDE !!! ADEAFDUDE

  • You are so animated! I just love watching you! and you're super cute when you shave!

  • You've totally made my day with this video!

  • I LOVE the "doggy" face when it is Laika singing, and the zero G effect was amazing. I also love anticipating what signs will be coming up- I have been watching your videos a lot lately- ok and the "Baby Signs ones too, to learn how to sign. You know, when you shave you lose five years, lol. Thank you Thank you Thank you for another great video!

  • You are the Indiana Jones of ASL videos. I hope you take that as a compliment, because I mean it as one. But you can replace "Indiana Jones" with any person you think is heroically cool.

...are you afraid of snakes by any chance? =)

  • Great work.

  • YOU SHAVED! lol, nice video and nice look

  • Very good! I loved the way you floated around, very entertaining. I really love watching these ASL videos, and great choice for a JoCo song.

Btw, what was that thing that kinda flew past you? I was mildly distracted by your facial expressions (very cute), and I didn't properly see it.
