I love her extensions. Her legs were meant to be in the arabesques, and leaps. I will be honest I am Jealous. : ) You were meant to dance. You gorgeous to watch.
she was 16 here and she is amazing. shes 18 turning 19 now and shes improved sooo much. I got to see her dance and her arms have improved since and her feet are simply georgous
I don't think anybody ever takes into account what struggles people go through during their training. When the Rock first took her in, no one thought she'd ever be able to dance. She couldn't control anything, and basically was a noodle. But here she is TWO years later, and is able to do THAT. I was at the same intensive as her this year and let me tell you, she is amazing and will take your breath away. So think about your own struggles before bashing someone else.
Whoever is pointing out her every TINY flaw is just jelous. She is a great performer, has beautiful stage presence, lovely feet and great flexibility. I do agree her hands could use a bit of work but hands do not make the whole performance. Whoever says she is awful and not a dancer just wishes they could preform like her. Well Done.
OMG she has inspired me so much! yeah her hand weren't perfect, and maybe she didn't have that great of stage presence, but she is a heck of lot better than me. I hope she won the gold in her category! I can't imagine how amazing she will be when shes an adult! <33

She probably has improved since then, but I can see that her movements don't really flow and her arms are a tad off (well, to me, at least) in '09. She is a great dancer, even with those errors. Surely the little mistakes have been corrected by Beckanne by now. :) I love watching all of these amazing girls dance, though!
Her arabesque is STUNNING but her jeté is awful...She has the body and the arch of a professional dancer but indeed as 89krysie said she doesn't flow from movements to movements. She'll certainly improve it

Her technique is great, SURE the arms need some work, although how can you nit pick every little detail in a well done performance??! fantastic job, your skill will take you far....

It also requires a lot of taste, artistry and discernment to know when, how, and when NOT to use it. As much work as evidently went into this variation, and as much talent and ability as it shows, there's something a bit icky about it; it does not delight the way it should. Probably by now Ms. Sisk has grown and improved in that regard.
The amount of haters on here is remarkable.......she is obviously very talented and unique. Her arms may not be the greatest, but how can you just focus on that? Beautiful extenuation and turns!!!!

Girl with good technique but needs to improve urgently the hands are too heavy! It's the kind of ballerina "look like my leg extension is good and it looks like I turn too" ballet is not only that .. but apparently that matters now is only high legs and pirouettes!!

She looks like a rhythmic gymnast on pointe - NO turnout and those hands and arms just ruin her. With time i'm sure it will be corrected and none the less i'm extremely jealous of her extensions.

Why does YAGP keep their stage sooo dark? It's bizarre, compared with Prix de Lausanne, they have their dancers performing in a closet-like atmosphere... hahaha I think it would drive me insane...
Beckanne is amazing !!!!!!!! She definently didnt pay to get in. This girl has talent and she is a natural at dance!!!!!! Everyone who doesnt like this video does not have any dance experience and are totally annoying! I go to rock and they train there dancers in the best way and Beckannes hard work really pays off! I would like to know how you are doing at Ballet West and hope u no all these people are totally wrong beautiful job!!!!!!!!!

@GLEEgirls16 Grishkos aren't that hard. The hard shank is too soft for me - but I don't have amazing feet. Mine are just strong. And yes, her feet are ridiculous.

@89krysie If by arms you mean «port de bras,» you must keep in mind that she was trained at the Rock School in Philadelphia and has stereotypical American training. That training, unlike those trained with the RAD, ISTD Cecchetti, or Vaganova systems, has a conspicuous absence of training of the carriage of the arms (and hands). By 16 someone at The Royal Ballet School, The National Ballet School of Canada, Paris Opera Ballet Schook etc. would have mastered port de bras competently enough.
Well, she's very impressive, and I admire her greatly for her strength and flexibility. However, I don't feel like I'm watching a ballet dancer; it doesn't seem very artistic or musical.
i HATE her arms, omg. yes, she can do a lot of amazing things and she has amazing extensions, but i can never ever see her become a professional dancer with arms like that. it's just so awkward!
I'm sorry to all the critics but she's the best Diana on Youtube that I've found. She's a Diana and an Esmeralda. Maybe she's not an Aurora or a Giselle, but she's good at this.

this is not definitly ballet but circus or girls we can find in the Moulin Rouge for cancan. No taste, no work, just tricks and show-off....it s a pity because she is gifted and could be much better.
she makes a lot of mistakes that get hidden by the choreography. also, homegirl needs to quiet her shoes, she sounds like an elephant and she obviously doesnt weigh that much
pretty good, but she was born with those extensions and this dance is more like 'look how far i can stick my leg up' i wish she had done a more diverse and faster routine..

To me she's not a 'typical' ballet dancer, she's definitely unique, and would stand out if she were a soloist for a big production, one day. Good luck!!

She needs to work on her hands a bit, they're too stiff, although it might just be in this video, I don't know. I found this to be an impressive performance but the hands kind of distracted me. And perhaps the penchee at the beginning was a bit much for a classical piece, it was impressive though.
P.s. does anyone else find it distracting when the audience cheers during the performance?
I don't want to sound mean, but this does NOT look like the precise, feisty, clean cut classical Diana variation I know. The extension is beautiful but she should save that for contemporary. Too much high extension in classical pieces just looks a little odd to me; not enough artistry. :-/
Wish people would stop judging, that's her qualified teacher's job, not a few jealous ballet 'students'

she has talent, her technique is pretty good...the arms kills me though. And her movements are rather choppy. She doesn't flow from movement to movement like a professional ballet dancer does, like julie kent or svetlana zakharova. But she is only 16 when this video was taken, so she has time to fix that!

@89krysie If by arms you mean «port de bras,» you must keep in mind that she was trained at the Rock School in Philadelphia and has stereotypical American training. That training, unlike those trained with the RAD, ISTD Cecchetti, or Vaganova systems, has a conspicuous absence of training of the carriage of the arms (and hands). By 16 someone at The Royal Ballet School, The National Ballet School of Canada, Paris Opera Ballet Schook etc. would have mastered port de bras competently enough.

Well, she's very impressive, and I admire her greatly for her strength and flexibility. However, I don't feel like I'm watching a ballet dancer; it doesn't seem very artistic or musical.

i HATE her arms, omg. yes, she can do a lot of amazing things and she has amazing extensions, but i can never ever see her become a professional dancer with arms like that. it's just so awkward!

I'm sorry to all the critics but she's the best Diana on Youtube that I've found. She's a Diana and an Esmeralda. Maybe she's not an Aurora or a Giselle, but she's good at this.
And this video makes it look awkward. It's the video not her.
And hey... she's a kid she's going to learn to improve and control her natural talents.

this is not definitly ballet but circus or girls we can find in the Moulin Rouge for cancan. No taste, no work, just tricks and show-off....it s a pity because she is gifted and could be much better.

she makes a lot of mistakes that get hidden by the choreography. also, homegirl needs to quiet her shoes, she sounds like an elephant and she obviously doesnt weigh that much

@krusso1020 Pointe shoes, especially Grishkos, are hard. Her arch is crazy and she kills anything except a hard shank.

pretty good, but she was born with those extensions and this dance is more like 'look how far i can stick my leg up' i wish she had done a more diverse and faster routine..

She's so amazing! It's unfortunate that her height will definitely play a factor in her future, because she's so talented!
To me she's not a 'typical' ballet dancer, she's definitely unique, and would stand out if she were a soloist for a big production, one day. Good luck!!

I think she has really gorgeous extensions, lovely feet.
She needs to work on her hands a bit, they're too stiff, although it might just be in this video, I don't know. I found this to be an impressive performance but the hands kind of distracted me. And perhaps the penchee at the beginning was a bit much for a classical piece, it was impressive though.
P.s. does anyone else find it distracting when the audience cheers during the performance?

I don't want to sound mean, but this does NOT look like the precise, feisty, clean cut classical Diana variation I know. The extension is beautiful but she should save that for contemporary. Too much high extension in classical pieces just looks a little odd to me; not enough artistry. :-/
