  • thats what you get for been a skilled pianist lol

  • Elton and Billy were a bad match. Billy in the 80's sounded much like Elton. Elton got clean and sober. Billy.......

  • Haha was this the same concert as the other video when Elton stormed off stage?

  • I've been a piano tuner-tech for 30 years. Things like this are unpredictable, especially when the piano is outside, more exposed to the weather than when inside. I prepared the piano for George Winston once. Halfway through the show the soft pedal started squeaking. Let me assure you, that kind of thing is mortifying to a piano tuner! It was easily fixed during intermission and GW was gracious about it. Having experienced that kind of thing before, he was thankful to now know how to fix it.

  • Love Billy and Elton! :)

  • Aren't piano techs supposed to check the working condition of musical instruments BEFORE they are placed on stage?

  • the clapping be hurtnin me ears... ahhhh ..I wish I was there.. lloks loike alot of fun

  • I was there!

  • laughed a long time. could have been a scandalous mess, technically it was a mess already, but billy handled it so well ;-) "At least we're not on tape. This is an authentic rock'n'roll f**k up". funny man, very entertaining. he kept the whole audience sing yankee doodle. in my opinion the best method to handle such a messup.

  • I would have loved this!!!!

  • Billy Joel is so frickin' cool!! Would have loved to be at this show!

  • What did Billy say after he sat back down?

  • Some goof in the beginning said "the guy from jersey" He's actually from Long Island

  • lmao exactly. bruce springsteen was from new jersey. NOT BILLY JOEL. HE'S FROM LONG ISLAND

  • Billy had the right idea. Why not just switch pianos? I know elton uses Yahmaha strictly, but still,

  • It's not so much a brand thing, every piano feels different to play. How heavy the keys feel, how much force it takes for a note to be loud or soft, etc all that stuff. You have your own adjusted to work best for the way you play and you get used to it.

  • eltons piano is 9 feet long. its not a "baby" grand.

  • i laughed so hard when that happend!! i was in the 11th row! i got the tickets for my 13th b-day!!!! i love billy joel!

  • @Beatlerock4 what about Elton? Billy's great, but man you have a lot to learn.

  • @JohnTaupin haha i love elton too haha. hes great, i have almost all his albums and i have all of billys

  • it did take a lot to fix the piano..... and teh tech was busting his balls to fix it..... Elton was only MAD that day....

  • Okay to whoever said "aren't they wasting OUR time"? WHERE ELSE do you have to be right now....you were planning on being at the concert all night anyway right.

  • @tbib76 couldn't agree more! they are at a f--king Elton John and Billy Joel show, and that's NEVER a waste of time!!

  • @tbib76 Right! Go home if it bugs you so much.

  • I was there! That was so funny, a great intro, even though Elton seemed a little mad about it xD

  • I have never seen a better opening to a show. Billy Joel was hilarious.

  • the sustain pedal on elton's piano was stuck... he said it made his playing sound like a cross between phillip glass and shaukhausen (sp?)... and it took a lot longer than he expected to get it fixed.

but it did get fixed... and both elton and billy busted their butts to keep the audience entertained... they succeeded. :)

  • wat was wrong with his piano?
