  • No chocolate for Augustus this time.

  • How did I get here from Skyrim?

  • oh come on you know you danced to this

  • Actually, some of these songs are an adaptation of the original Roald Dahl ones that are in his book Charlie and the Chocolate factory. Credit has to go to the author! both movies are equally as good and fit to changing audiences.

  • The songs in this were 5 times better than the ones in the Gene Wilder version! Instead of the same repetitive chant over and over again with different lyrics, Danny Elfman created 4 (Not counting the Wonka intro song) awesome, original songs that show what a massively talented, versatile composer he is.

  • wrong, its not a remake

  • @BuellerBueller95 .. i think it is of willie winka and the chocolate factory

  • @willbob83 no i kno of willy wonka and the chocolate factory but its not its just another adaptation of the same book, but tim burton and johnny depp stated its not a remake of the gene wilder one

  • So ugly......My EYES!

  • The original song sang by the Oompa Loompas for Augustus in the original film is probably the most memorable, yes - but this one is just... too awesome for words. Even if you don't take into account that Danny Elfman is voicing each Oompa Loompa, it just feels like it belongs better.

Bless you, Danny Elfman! Bless you, Tim Burton!

  • Augustus is so cute. (:

  • @xNuclearMushrooms that's your opinion, but to me he's UGLY!

  • oompay-loompa, oompay-loompa :)

  • roald dahl is the genius behind this he created the book this would not exist is it wasn't for him

  • @hotharry1000 So Right You are! Honor to you Mr. Dahl!

  • AWESOME!!

  • WILD SNORLAX APPEARED!

  • what the freak. in the book he comes out thin. umm, why wasn't he?

  • @twenkash1 the producers said it was impossible for them to have a Fat kid come in and come out a Thin kid.

  • Ommpa

  • Yayyyyy

  • 50s pop

  • The beats Woohoo!!!... Seems Bollywood :D:D

  • he is the only who liked the punishment

  • @ICETEAPRODUCTIONS1 nope, the tune too. if u try to sing it, it comes out almost exactly the same. go ahead. try it.

  • fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuudddddddddddddggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @TheGamesnes1 haha he sounded like a fagit when he said that like the prissy ewww

  • I love the caption in the picture "Augustus, is what he eats" Great reference to the film ending "Augustus, stop eating your fingers!" "But i taste so good!"

  • Can you imagine Augustus Flavored Chocolate Coated Gloop EWW no one would buy it

  • @TheGamesnes1 Great Wonka come back!

  • @TheGamesnes1 No, I wouldn't allow it. The taste would be terrible.

  • @TheGamesnes1 except his mother.

  • Agustus gloop BECOMES what he eats.....Literally.

  • LOL Nicompoop? This is my fav song Charlie+Mr Wonka=TWINS ^^

  • @goombamario1 Please, keep those comments off popular videos. Thank you very much.

  • I'm getting a Crash Bandicoot vibe from this music :)

  • LALALA

  • My family are true-blue fans of the original 1971 version and find this version very disturbing. I, on the other hand, think it is terrific, and far much more faithful to the original story. You get more of Roald Dahl's wacky, slightly creepy humor in here. I am proud to say I own the DVD, much to my family's chagrin.

  • @08skydancer just out of interest, why do they believe it is disturbing?

  • Danny Elfman is such a genious. And he is singing all the parts !

Maybe the greatest composer of our time ...

  • @BillieNat *cough* john williams

  • @SombreroKing100 I'm do not agree. He is a great composer, but not original enough. Like the early Hans Zimmer (now he is doing experimental, and I love it).

Danny Elfman, John Powell, James Newton Howard, Harry Gregson Williams, (for example) they are doing something new each time.

  • @BillieNat did u not know that Roald Dahl (the CREATOR of C&TCF), wrote the lyrics, AND created the tune? danny elfman did not...

  • i think they made him german because pretty much all germans like chocolate and sweets (im german too by the way)

  • @crazystairs10000 The actor who played him was German!

  • i love how danny elfman used some of the original lyrics from the novel. his music is nothing short of amazing!!!

  • the dance is very funny

    en lots of fun:D

  • i love this song

  • You did the lyrics in red text over a red and white shirt? A little hard to read, there.

  • @Ilsoap When i saw the fudge bit , i jumped a mile cuz it scared me

  • What dose it mean to Embed a vidio ?

  • What dose it mean to Embed a vidio

  • what does Embed mean

  • @powetcrusher it's how to put it on a website :)

  • The Germans are fat and the American's are violent...now thats roll reversal

  • This song had me dancing in the theatres lmao!

  • Well guys look at it this way: The German one is fat but the American one is a violent smarter-than-thou douche. Hmm. Lulz.

  • Urerere uuu uerere uuuu

  • Of Course the Fat-One is from Germany . I'm German and We are called " Krauts" or something other ... But We all call You Americans Fettsäcke ! Höhö But the Movie is still a nice film

  • the book sayed hes from german

  • hey, does anybody know what genre that brass would be because it is so awesome, i would like to find a song of just it. i love this song, but i also love that brass!

  • HAY LOOK A FAT READ HEADED WALDO well now we know where we found him

  • the pic creepy

  • Hearing this CD version, reminds me of the MGM musicals of the 1950's

  • I lold at the "FUDGE!!!"

  • Comment removed

  • Most of the lyrics for the kid's songs were written by a Roald Dahl. Any idea who he is?

(Hit on the head by a giant lolly)

    OW! I'm kidding!

  • I wonder if y'all know that point of the song ? It giving out a message that you shouldn't be greedy and eat much too sweets.

  • i eat more candy

  • I'm playing Augustus in The Willy Wonka Musical. I'm really excited!!!

  • In Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, Augustus did not get chocolate all over him when he fell in the chocolate river. in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Augustus got chocolate all over him when he fell in the chocolate river!

  • both this song and augustus creep me out

  • @MrJameshodgkins I kind of laughed at the nincompoop part

  • just shut up they werent protraying germans like that just because germans are fat some germans are fat thats LL! they could have showed an african american or an asian or a caucausian for example, but no they didnt just shut up okay and for the record roald dahl was german hisself so go to hell lovesbffr misterjack@

  • Good song but I prefer the other Oompa-Loompa songs in the movie to this one.

  • wow, i can't believe this is the way roald dahl portrayed germans, fat and dumb. this is so racist! my ancestors are from germany, and theyre fat too, so am i, and i'm not dumb!

  • @misterjack97 I can assure you that the original book does not specify the races of any of the kids at all. It's purely ambigious. Only the films decide to have them as German. And anyway Roald Dahl was a very politically incorrect writer regardless.

  • @AliceElphabaWonka Very true. Oompa Loompas were originally portrayed as African Pygmies.

  • here's what i think of the scenes in that movie

    augustus: creepy

    violet: amazing

    veruca:depressing

    mike: amazingly depressing

HAHAHA i'm just kidding, i think all o' them are great

  • @mrfivegold

Im my opinion i don't think it matters that they cut it out. I mean I am athiest so...

It shouldn't matter that they cut it out just enjoy the song for what it is. An awesome song about a dumb fat kid.

  • They removed the lines "we'll boil him a minute more until we 're absolutely sure then out he comes by god, by grace" because of its religious value. The movie industry is sadly following whatever trend it needs to follow to appeal to the majority. In past years religious tones were good now they are being removed. Due to the increase in atheists. I say if it is meant to be what is it... LEAVE IT, and let the audience do its own editing.

  • Why the hell did they not make another version so I could audition 2 be Violet!!!???

  • Augustus Gloop: Gluttony

    Violet Baewregard: Pride

    Veruca Salt: Greed

    Mike Teevee: Wrath

Charlie Bucket: The One With A Pure Heart, Thinks Only Of Others And Never Himself

  • @XXLSSBBW

No, Charlie was Sloth, because it said that poverty somehow connects to sloth. I don't get it either, believe me. But it's like this:

    Augustus Gloop: Gluttony

    Violet Beauregarde: Pride

    Veruca Salt: Greed

    Mike Teavee: Wrath

    Charlie Bucket: Sloth

    Miranda Piker: Covet (I think?)

    Marvin Prune: Envy (I think?)

Those other two were in the book, because there were seven golden tickets and a child to represent each sin.

  • @pokemonmusicsushi usually poverty associates with sloth because abviously if you work whole heartedly you will get something in return. If you look at the majority of people in poverty (in my country anyways) you will see them smoking pot or doing drugs. drugs makes people lazy. society has always refrenced poor people to being very unselfish and loving, and working very hard but not getting an earning. Rich people are usually portrayed as snobbish with all this money that magically appears.

  • @XXLSSBBW so true

  • @XXLSSBBW Veruca Salt: Averis

  • my brother found that the guy that plays augustus has a crush on julia winter . i don want to ofence them . even though my brother is a professional liar

  • all the songs rock

    augustus gloop: give me chills

    veruca salt:it was alright

    violet baewregard: memorys

mike teavee: the best but short. thats what i think of the songs

  • He has quite an innocent face, I think. Not that he is, cos he's not.

  • when you look at him on this vid you want to punch him

  • @welshjj100 agREED

  • @welshjj100 agREED

  • he dint turn in to choclate he was covered in choclate. go on wikipeidia if you dont beleive me

  • the part at 1:54 was excluded from the movie. Watch this song and listen to the audio on its own from the soundtrack (or this video for greater ease) if you don't believe this.

  • OMG YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!

  • looks like chucky

  • I really hate that doll! He creeps me out!

  • This one is the best out of them all

  • and also the most famous. first leaked clip of the movie!

  • why is he a german? just because he's fat? o.o

  • @LovesBFR no you racist

  • @SUPERTOM3SVIDEOS omg youre such an idiot. im from germany, too.

  • @LovesBFR your the idiot

  • @SUPERTOM3SVIDEOS why? just because im german? you racist.

  • @LovesBFR no you called me an idiot im autistic you know

  • @SUPERTOM3SVIDEOS and you called me an idiot just because im a german. so youre a racist.

  • @LovesBFR i didnt can we just stop this damn fight?

  • @SUPERTOM3SVIDEOS sure we can

  • @LovesBFR thanks

  • @LovesBFR becuz they didnt wanna pu thte sterotypical fat spoiled american boy, so they put german.....typical.

  • @markee871 Its because he was german in the book, its not 'typical'.

  • @Leekduck He wasn't actually german in the book

  • @HoodywolfLS your right actualy, i just read the book and it doesent say

  • @Leekduck So it IS typical!

  • @HoodywolfLS bare in mind that his name IS 'augustus', and there were already two american characters in the film

  • @LovesBFR maybe because in real life he maybe is actually dutch.

  • @LovesBFR No, if he were any nationality because he was fat, he'd be American.

  • @LovesBFR Germany is known for chocolates and sausuages.

  • @drawitbig and the usa is the fattest country in the world.

  • @LovesBFR they just wanted to have a funny character. Personally, I think it's to represent some of the 7 deadly sins. Augustus just so happens to be gluttony. Mike Teevae was sloth, Violet was pride, and the other girl was greed. So, they could have made the characters come from anywhere and would have had the same effect

  • @drawitbig i think youre right but the other charakters are from america, too ?

  • @LovesBFR I know one's from Germany, I'm not sure about Miss. Sult though. I know the rest of them are from America.

  • @drawitbig exactly.. veruca sounds a little bit russian ?

  • @LovesBFR I'm not sure.

  • @drawitbig

    veruca salt is from england

  • @LovesBFR When the book was written, maybe Germany had a better fit for gluttony?

  • @cat2cube i dont feel like discussing any more.. germans aren't thin, that's right, but the usa has been known for its overweight for years...

  • @cat2cube k, i was just thinking about why the director chose a german kid

  • @LovesBFR Exactly. He's not German because he's German, he's German because he's fat.

  • @Damiel317 omg. ._.

the scenarists could have made him american.

  • @LovesBFR i just think its coincidence or however uspell it

  • @ScottDani900 huh.

  • @LovesBFR cause u said he was faat cause hes german and i said it was just coinsidence x :D

  • @ScottDani900 yeah, i already got it..

  • @LovesBFR

    ...because his name is Augustus?

  • @Citrus3000 wtf.. i'm so sick of silly answers. the author could have named him "jack" or "abhijit". furthermore i don't know anyone whose name is augustus.

  • @LovesBFR

Im so sick of silly idiots, thinking there so smart. Of Course he could have named him Fuckface and could have made him martian, it's not important at all, but he obiviously wanted to take characters outside america to. Well, I do, so go fuck yourself.

  • @Citrus3000 im not going to respond to your provocation.

  • @LovesBFR

Well, you just did. How smart.

  • @Citrus3000 when?

  • @LovesBFR I'm pretty sure it's because his name is Augustus. I don't remember if he was german in the books, but it isn't that big of a deal...

  • @LovesBFR I don't think so, I think they justed wanted someone german

  • dont eat ur fingers

  • but I taste so good

  • makes me think i wonder if a person can eat their face off

  • @moneyforspagghetios I haven't heard of it but if someone tried I'd be kinda afraid of them.

  • I love the music in this remake. While Depp's performance is, akward and Michael Jacksonesque, I think overall the movie trumps the 1971 version (which the only good part of that one was Gene Wilder's performance)

  • I'm glad they changed it. Watched the original oen at school. Now everyoen in7th grade si singing "Omppa Lompaa Dommpydo" It;'s ANNOYINFG!!!!

  • teh beggining sounds catchy

  • I love the whole Bollywood style to this song. I hope there are more songs like this somewhere haha.

  • Is this extended? It sounds longer then what was in the movie.

  • The songs on the CD tend to be just a tad longer than the songs in the movie, but not by much.

  • @Akumarupup on the blu ray the full thing is shown on the DVD

  • Howcome? What was the length in the movie?

  • 115 minutes, so a little less than an hour.

  • What, the song was 115 minutes! Your outta your mind!

So a little less than an hour makes sense. But an hour is 60 minutes!

  • Whoops, sorry I meant the movie, and actual song was about 1 min to 2 and a half

  • That's better!

  • @supmandude it is

  • I was so happy when i saw the movie at the movies i was so happy he was sucked up the pipe cause he was annoying!

btw i love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

and it's not a damn remake it's another version of the boook!!

  • hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey (8)

August gloop august gloop a great big greedy nickempoop (8) Wooo lol!

  • Agreed!

  • I love 1:39-1:43!

  • Um... One, why try to bring the bible into this? And two, he's not rich, he's just a fat greedy pig, so whenever he gets moeny he just spends it on candy.

  • I know. It sounds crazy I should bring the Bible into this.

But if you hadn't noticed already, I love Jesus!

I love him enough to idolize him on youtube!

  • I'm Agnostic, I don't belive in god, but I don't deny the fact that he may exist. You can never tell something until you have seen it first hand. But thats my opinion, and you have yours.

  • how did the Bible is in this

  • The beat reminds me of donkey kong country.

  • Best song

  • Tell me about it! Augusus Gloop was the best out of the 5 ticket holders. Mainly because he was tubby! His ending was priceless!
