It's like looking at the clouds and seeing faces. Our brains were ment to recognize faces and body shapes. So that when anything even remotely resembles a face or body, we think it's real. Only shadows. The terrain around those objects is insignificant. Which is probably why the things in question stand out. But really? How are they able to breath? How big are they? Curious... The warmest it gets on Mars is about -45 Celsius... The warmest. The Martian atmosphere is comprised almost entirely of co2... It has no layer of ozone or magnetic field to protect it's surface from DNA destroying cosmic rays and radiation... To anyone whom is having trouble seeing these things try full screen if you still can't see them try an eye exam!! I am an elderly diabetic with bad eyes I can see them clearly on regular screen or even better on full screen! I have similar theories about explosive decompression, desiccation and freeze drying. BUT I do not see that here with this video. I need the source references. I am looking for additional evidence. From what I have observed from lunar images this is also what may have taken place. I seem to see similar effects on mars. I also suspect that some specimens were transported through space by a near pass of mars. So far my impression is polar magnetic transference by 'aligning' magnetic fields

Looks like they are hiding behind a surfboard shaped rock? Could be an ancient high tech land skimmer platform with two locals taking refuge behind it like an overturned boat? Yes, I am sure. I think they were frozen & now petrified over many years by a Sodom and Gomorra event on Mars. Like ancient humans frozen in Ice, they have been preserved as statues. A massive meteor barrage pummeled the planet on one side. Those down in craters were not toppled by displaced atmosphere. Frozen by deep space as we would use liquid nitrogen, now stand as life like statues. Other shots of the cliff show them not moving. I say Kroft Martian remains frozen quickly in midstep.

Hi Bruceman. In the "top right corner" of SOL 974 the two alien ladies are slightly behind a surfboard shaped rock. It is just below the Mars dessert flats in the very, very top right under the crater rim.

Also in that shot is an alien Transformer like Mech which has its' ancient claw like left foot up on a turret sled (now rock) in the center right of the picture.

The shitty thing with such pictures is that they are always not clear enough. I would love to see a genuan, real, full color, in-focus mars or moon anomalie picture sometime (soon).

Opportunity SOL 974 has a pretty clear shot of this on the JPL Rover Web page. I just zoomed in and circled. Even my zoom is better then above. The print turned out well but You Tube cuts that clarity down even more due to less lines in these video formats. Please check out and zoom in on SOL 974 for the ancient Mech Robot and these two "frozen, now petrified rock" alien bipeds.

Thanks for the reply, it is also difficult to see what their sizes are. There is no reference or scale given with these pictures on YT. They can be 6 meters or 60 meters tall, i have no idea.

Glad to help! The crater is 250 feet deep in the center. The rim wall in this area is just over half of that depth in the picture. They are about one 15th the size of the exposed cliff. My best guess is these two alien females are between 8 and 9 feet tall.

Actually, just to the right is a large male figure in the rock showing huge biceps. You will have to go to original rover Opportunity SOL 974 and zoom in with some extra light. I did not include him in this short clip but you can see a partial circle I made for location. I find people have time to watch these shorter videos. I figure that pectoral perfect superman is Hercules or one of the fallen Greek false gods. I may post him in the future? Stay tuned!

Fantastic! Dave you have a good eye for detail. I see the figures in this video! I can see the female's calves and buttocks, legs...the detail is astounding.
