1) It's beautiful.

2) It's highly malleable (can be shaped easily).

3) It's the ONLY metal that never corrodes.

4) It's a superb electrical conductor.

5) It's rare.

But, if you still believe gold is worthless, I'll gladly trade you some beads for all the gold you have, which probably is not very much, if any.

What gives gold it's value is that throughout 5,000 yrs of monetary history, it has always been the commodity that people ultimately chose to STORE VALUE in. This is precisely why 99% of it is simply stored instead of being used in industry.
