  • If it isn't 16 bit how come it looks so good and the Nes version looked nothing like this

  • the names don´t change its the original names

  • @BlueHedgehog619 I think that was his point that the names were changed in the US and that these are the original names.

  • This honestly sounds better than the genesis version and looks about the same. which is sad to say for the genesis.

  • Did you take that stay classy line right out of anchorman?? ur a cheater!!! lol

  • don't know any combo? ur fighting skill is low haha.. banga kaau ka

  • I am pretty sure this is on the Wii VC for the tg16

  • The red Hadoken was a glitch in the original SF2 coin-up that Capcom liked so much, they decided to keep it in all the subsequent versions.

  • @mikeshredder233 The Pc Engine version looks as good as the Megadive version, anyone can see that.

  • I remember hearing that this was originally going to be a Hu-Card and CD combo where the audio would come from the CD and everything else would be coming from the Hu-Card...This was when the rumors of Street Fighter II CE coming to the PC Engine (what a Japanese classic!) started popping up.

  • for a system made in 1987 this game looks brilliant on the pc engine

  • Wow, I was always so proud too have a Turbo 16 for a while when I was young. Especially considering it didn't last that long, and was never given a fair shake. Sure wish I had SF II for the system back then. Very cool

  • I believe this version is now on the Wii via the virtual console on the shopping channel.

  • i am running this from a turbo booster on my plasma tv yet my video shows heavy pixelation. how is your video output so smooth? are you running this with an s-video mod on a CRT TV?

  • this is amazing job that capcom done, it looks spectacular. i was amazed when i first saw this running on t16.

  • The red fireball was a glitch in street fighter 2 that they ported over to the home systems to be authentic to the arcade and later made it a move in super street fighter 2! Cool video review!

  • You gotta love street fighter no matter what system it's on but this was pretty damn good at the time!!

  • Cool vid

  • i really want this game. It looks like a really thick Hucard.

  • so how many bits does the console have as you said it's not true 16bit.

for an older device it runs that great

  • That version looks much better than the Super Nintendo, and Sega genesis version.

No wonder Nintendo didn't want this version released in the states on the turbograph 16.

  • @tom11zz884 The graphics are not as good as the Snes version, they are closer to the Genesis.

  • Is there a good PC Engine emulator I can download?

  • @DJDementEatsBabies MagicEngine is the best emulator I've used. I particularly like the fact it can run REAL CD games, so if you have any PC Engine CD titles, you can just pop them into your computer and play them.

  • I gave this to a friend on christmas because it was a buck cheaper on wii than the other versions

  • This port is great, actually the color palette looks a lot like the SNES one! (and that's impressive because the color palette of the SNES was broader than the Genesis one on this game) the only two downfalls I see is that the Hadouken flickers, don't know if its a capture problem but it looks like it flickers a lot when you do it and also it looks a little bit slower than the SNES/GENESIS version, but this is amazing for a system released in 1987, actually shows that it is as capable as SNES/GEN

  • Just got my Core Grafx this monday and I love it. This vid may have convinced me to purchase this along with the controller. Is the sound quality really bad compared to the Super NES versions of the game?

  • @naikanomtom Yes the SNES does have a lot better sound quality. Still this game is impressive for the PCE nevertheless.

  • @Gamester81 while I agree, I have to say I like the sound fx from this port though..

  • @Gamester81 Not sure what you mean about the sound. This version's music sounds a lot more like the arcade than the SNES version did. The red fireball is a glitch. In the arcade version (the glitch was purposely put in the home consoles) every once in a while Ryu & Ken's fireball would be red. Eventually Capcom decided to make it an actual move for Ryu in SSF2 and all games after. Sort of like how Dhalsim had a teleport glitch in the original SF 2 and it was eventually made into a real move.

  • @Gamester81 I am a little confused, I want to get the core system, (Not the US Turbo verson it is ugly in compairision), but will the Jap Core system play the US HuCard games?, and what is the better verson of the system to get that can allow me to play the most amount of games? With and without the CD Attachment...thanks..

  • A lot of people that had the TG-16 just imported it.

  • lots better than the Super NES port for sure!!

  • iT SHOULD'VE BEEN release in the states

  • 2:05... where did the hadoken go? =)

  • used to play this on friends turbo express with a conversion type adapter, crazy old and rare!!

  • I hate how video game characters who were OBVIOUSLY based on real life counterparts, slowly skewed to look less and less like who they were clearly modeled after: M. Bison/Balrog, Law from Tekken, Lei. Look at modern versions of these guys and of course they don't resemble Tyson, Bruce Lee, or Jackie Chan, but look at the character models from about a decade ago and it's obvious. I guess my point is, why move away from it?

  • Wow, this is a decent port.

  • should have added back in the early 90s NOT alot of people had a games consol , so thats another reason why the games were waaay to expensive - MORTAL KOMBAT also cost me £60 /$100 back then

  • I used to own STREETFIGHTER 2 TURBO edition for the mega drive / genesis EXCELLENT GAME , bought it in 1991( I think ) and even back then it cost £60 / $100 FREAKIN EXPENSIVE , but then there wasnt as many shops that sold games -so thats probably why it cost so much

  • i see that you have a turbo graphics 16 system. could you do a review of splatter house. thanks.

    your vids rock

  • Thanks for the request. I'll put Splatterhouse on my list of videos to do.

  • the sounds bitrate is a lil low compared to other systems but they found ways around that with the pc-engine.. was still a ballsy system.. highly underrated!

  • Just ordered my copy, worth it just for the name changes on the rosta :-)

    Cheers man!

  • Looks good I think I am going to check it out! Thanks man

  • did they make the first street fighter for the turbo grafx 16?

  • Yeah they made what they called Fighting Street on the Turbo Grafx CD.

  • my cousin has it.. man do it be hard to play,.. and laggggg!

  • That game is a classic. I will always love Street Figher. I'm going to buy SFIV when the price drops.

  • SFIV is good but it has a revenge gauge that fills up the more damage you take, when full you unleash a move that takes awy two third energy, this puts me off you should nt be at disadvantage for whiping someone badly,sf2 hd remix is the one for me

  • I never knew how to do the "charge" moves. So i can only use Ryu, Ken and Akuma as players because all of the other characters' moves are "charge".

  • to do the charge moves for like Guile,blanca,Bison,Chun-Li, you have to go back for two seconds and quickly go forward and any punch button,to do a flash kick or whatever you have to go down for two second and up and press any kick button.hope that advice helped coming from a 13 year old but i have the snes version so yeah you know

  • I love the TurboGrafx that game looks great for being on the TG16 I've always wanted to try that one out it's one of my favorite systems. One of the few I actually kept.

  • Yeah I really enjoyed this port of SF2. Awesome video.

  • Man It looks as good as the snes version of SF2.

  • The red fireball is a random thing in SF2T, just graphical. On the home ports of CE they added it.

Just found your channel. Very nice vids. :)

  • Cool, that's what I figured, and thanks for letting me know.

  • Looks great. Are you playing this on a PCE or a TG16 with adapter? Eitherway it was a great port to the little PCE!

  • Yeah I'm playing it on the PCE Core system because it has AV cables and S Video.

  • Do you have a different controller that has more than 2 buttons? The Turbo Grafx 16 has 2 botton controllers.

  • Yeah I bought a six button TG-16 controller for this game. The standard two button controller is a little hard to control considering you have to use the turbo switches and run buttons.

  • Yeah, I feel it's one of the best port for the home console, probly next best to SFC's version. A definitely graphical showcase for the PCEngine considering it's only an 8-Bit machine (but with a 16 bit graphics chip).

  • This looks just as good as the SNES version. I didn't know about the name switching thing. Pretty interesting tidbit.
