  • ohhh fantastic canary. You are so Lucky

  • I had a bird like that when i was kid :)

More like orange tho..it use to find a rubber band or a string and fly around with it :D

And it also likes to chew or bite on my ears for some reason hehe...crazy bird

  • Beautiful color.

  • Nice bird

  • Unless this is a different kind

  • Is it a red factor? Beautiful!! Mine turned orange

  • Pirospaprika ű, vagy ételfesték lehet a vizében, attól van ilyen színe.(sajnos manipulálják a színt a kereskedők. A lerírtak szerint. Ha nem tévedtem(de nem hinném).

  • How do you get him back into his cage without having to stress him out? I want a canary but I feel bad about keeping them in their cage all the time.

  • @pescadoyventanas You just have to practice the bird, so it can know you won't hurt or do anything bad, mine goes crazy wild on me everytime I approach him lol, starts biting and gets into attacking position with the wings lol, but is smart too, I'm gonna upload a video of it opening the cage door by itself LOL.

  • @Tranzorr Thanks, your bird looks super happy! I hope one day to get one in that orange color, it reminds me of a delicious sherbert haha<3

  • @pescadoyventanas Thanks lol mine was the same color as this one in the video then it changed to white and orange.

  • it's so cute like my canary

  • my pet canary escaped from his cage but i got him back before bed time:)

  • does he play with you?

  • this is one of my favorite birds to look at and listen to. My little american singer listens too, I get him going! lol

  • the mouth need to be red and the eyes(others are red)

  • Is Mango still alive?

  • @Velasca yes she's still alive and still enjoys coming out of her cage... :)

  • @v6catfun tell her 958933 said hi

  • @Velasca Canaries lives between 10-15 years xD

  • Where did you purchase Mango from? I'd love the name of your breeder via Private Message (PM) if you get the chance, and don't want to display in on the page.

Thank you so Very, VERY Much!

Post Script ~ 'Tis so So, very delightful that you allow your pet Canary to have out-of-the-cage time just like people do for their pet parrot(s)... You Know --- Just because yours is not a parrot doesn't mean he cannot enjoy time out of the cage! *Applauds*

  • Sure is pretty!

  • He's beautiful... I'm so glad that he has free flight time. Mine are "free range" canaries, too!

  • theres nothing better than set a bird to Freeedom....

  • :36 an experienced bird owner could tell that he was about to poop. :) isnt it weird how you can tell these things when you own birds long enough? perfect time to chnage the slide :) as some people are squeemish

  • Itz showwwww CaYutssshhhhhhhhhh <<<<<<<<3

  • 30 people wish they have a great canary like this one ! :/

  • awsome

  • i love his color and i have two canaries at my house

  • where'd you get him? His color is gorgeous

  • that is not a canary! that is a mango with feathers and wings!

  • That is so cute! I thought canaries were always yellow. But he apparently fits his name. Lol I'd love to have a bird, but right now my wayward lifestyle won't allow me to have any pets.

  • how come he cant fly that high? did u get his feathers trimmed?

  • woooooooooow

  • pretty canary! why is he so red?!

  • now how on earth do u get him back in? does he let u grab him or always fly away?

    (from a new canary owner)

  • lets put it this way i had a bird who would not fly i had him since he was born cause my uncle had to many he bred canaries mine was yellow with red tint on his face and his cheeks but when he was ready to fly we tried teaching him but he just would not fly inside or out side it was really weird he was very weird then one day we decided maybe he would fly if he got a treat we tried it didnt work he was 6 years old before he flew when he was 7 he died in his sleep R.I.P my little friend

  • He just asking , im thinking of getting a bird czo i love them but im afirad that when i let them out like the cute bird in the vid, maybe he will fly away and never come back. So how do you prevent birds from flying like the bird in the vid? How do you train them not to fly out? Any reply will be appreaciated, thank you

  • @Ufcprofighter you close the doors and windows!

  • @u122564 but wont the bird fly aroudn the house?

  • @Ufcprofighter most birds were made 2 fly <------its how they exercise, not just sit on its cage

UNLESS u find a bird that hates 2 fly

  • @Ufcprofighter we just close the door and windows and let him fly around downstairs. At first he was really scared of us and we had to chase him around and catch him to put him back in his cage, but now he flies freely and when he need to eat, drink, or use the bathroom, the cage door is always open, he just flies back in.

  • @komandrew wow thx for telling me this i really apreciatte it

  • great video...thanks !

  • i can say this its not a singer :D

  • great color... well done :)

  • i have one like this but when i let him out of his cage he was like nuts :P

  • go to hell dislikers! tis is sooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute

  • i love your bird its sooo cute pm me ok plz i love your bird

  • When did you start letting him out? Is it risky to do this?

  • is this male or female

  • Mine is the same, picks out food thrown out by parrots around their cages and loves wandering on the floor.

  • What does it mean when he makes that sound?

  • WHERE DO YOU LIVE?!!

SO I CAN STEALL HIM BECAUSE HE'S SOOOO CUUTEE!!

    <3

  • lovely colour!!

  • Hi does anyone know how i could make my canary sing all the time. would leaving a cd with bird or animal noises help make it sing??

  • @shams122020 Crush half an ecstasy pill in the food.

  • hIS NAME SHOULD BE APPLE NOT MANGO, JK. BEAUTIFUL BIRD, BEAUTIFUL COLOR.

  • @GINA6063 or fire or blaze

  • Omg hes beautiful.

  • Birds are such a delight ;)

  • You feed him broccoli ?

  • i have a canary that has the same voice and also the same colour but mine always hits the wall when he fly poor fellow

  • Ever since I got budgies, I've known angry bird noises, happy, sad, depressed, lonely, and hurt noises. These have helped me understand wild bird sounds, too. Also your canary. Your bird is clearly very happy because he puffed himself up and exploded while he was singing:)

  • What a cute little fellow! I don't think I've seen a red factor so bright before! It's nice to see that you let him out of his cage as well, it's a nice treat to birds who spend most of their time in cages because they arn't 'hand tamed'

  • I thought canaries were YELLOW?! .,. Epic color!

  • thats a nice red. i wish my canary still had his color. Now he has like a pale red.

  • 0:51 "OM NOM NOM NOM"

  • wow so beautiful....names suiits her perfectly..:)

  • The name Mango suits him perfectly. Such a bright, lovely color!

  • this is great to play to my canary to get it to make some noise!

  • To get that color in a canary you need to feed the mom and daddy a special food so they can put eggs and make that adorable canary :D

  • @MrRulezor Although feeding the parrents of any pet is essential on the babies' health, it really doesn't effect the colour. This is what is called a Red Factor canary, and just like different coloured cockatiels, it is a mutation in the genes.

  • @14Raine14 Lol it does my father did it and it actually worked but it still pretty cool anyway.

  • @14Raine14

Red factors are actually not genetic mutations, they were originally obtained through breeding canaries with other finches. The finch used was a Venezuelan Black-Hooded Red Siskin, the type of canary unknown. The offspring then were bred back to canaries. Genetically, modern red factors are around 98-99% Canary and 1-2% siskin. However, despite this they are considered canaries.

Hybridisation and genetic mutation are two different things.

  • @tambostorm I will say that I was incorrect to say that red factors is a 'mutation', you are right in that red factors were made from hybridisation many generations ago. Either way, the red colour comes from the red colouration genome that is taken from the Black-hooded red Siskis and is not a normal canary gene. I guess my explintation was just to say that feeding the canaries sertain foods will not make them bright red, but just like flamingos it came make their colours more vibrant

  • @14Raine14

Colour feeding can brighten a bird. In red factors, just like siskins, they tend to dull unless they receive a diet high in canthaxanthin, Beta-Carotene, and other 'orange' carotenoids. Although I don't recommend feeding carotenoid supplements (as their knows to be full of things that are not healthy for the bird) A diet high in natural carotenoid will darken red plumage on the next moult. The carotenoids need to be present when the feathers are formed to be incorporated into them.

  • @14Raine14

Birds only make a limited amount of pigment, so supplementing them with more will allow more to be deposited into the plumage. Genetics also play a role here, as colour genes will control how much pigment is deposited. Therefore a canary with the gene for little pigment (a yellow) will not darken no matter how much pigment you give it. A bird with the genetic capability to deposit large amounts of pigment (a red factor) will use that extra pigment. So less supplied pigment means pale.

  • awww its so cute and its color is really pops i love bright colors like this :D

  • wtf?!

    the color is awesome

  • i have always liked birds but we had a dwarf parrots the bited them on the legs but i think i want a bird like this one!

  • Wow, i thought that canary is only yellow. :) I like this one!

  • give him some carotene in his water or carrots, his colors will change

  • After this video was taken, a European goldfinch flew in and said to Mango, 'You gerbil-headed fool, get your ass back to Templeton, CA'...

...and it was the greatest night in the history of our sport.

  • good color

  • how do you put him back to the cage?

  • we had an orange canary one, named Scarlatti but he wasn't nearly as brilliantly colored as yours. He's amazing!

  • WOW I LOVE THE COLOR!!!!!!!

  • so beautiful!

  • plz tell me female canary is little bit sing if not sing so what type of original voice of female .

  • my Canary luv to be out

  • beautiful color.

  • Mango is gorgeous.

I wan a canary but my mom smokes in the house so a bird wouldn't be able to live here with their delicate respiratory systems. I'll have to wait until I live in my own place :)

  • Why don't you just keep it in your room with the door closed and ask your mother please not to smoke if she has to come in? I'm sure it would be no trouble. :)

  • I need to move out soon anyways. I'm almost 19.

  • Oh, ok then. It might be worth it waiting then. ;)

  • @picatsoforfma

I am 19 and live at home, my mother and I are both smokers and I have two very happy, very healthy parakeets. Parakeets are VERY sensitive to smoke and so I keep them in my room and simply insist that my room is non smoking area. No problems.

  • dear.. i've been a canary owner since 3 years at least i've had many canaries many pairs many clutches and many chicks and i'm a heavy smoker myself... they're not as delicate as u think they are... get one and enjoy their beautiful singing... if u'r in the states or canada i recommend getting a roller or an american singer at first that's of course if u'r into their song if u'r into type canaries get a persian frill or something fancy like that but they are very much difficult to breed... enjoy

  • @picatsoforfma> get your mom medical help to quit smoking as she's hurting everyone inside the house; second hand and 3rd hand smoke are kills or cause serious illness.

This canary is intelligent enough to know value of exercising outside the cage; we humans could learn lot from the birds.

  • @Zeno1999

Or maybe you should mind your own business as it's not your lungs or house.

I doubt very much that the canary is "intellegent enough to know the value of exrecise outside the cage", Mr Sarcasm. It's far more likely that being a BIRD it enjoys getting out of it's CAGE (which humans don't have) for some fun exploring. D-bag....

  • My canary looks just like that! :]

  • Mango is beautiful! I have two parakeets but seriously thinking about adding an canary, they sound as beautiful as they look.

  • nice bird.I also have a new canary.I left him in my room out of cage. The problem is that many hours passed without canary go in the cage and eat and drink,so i had to try to catch it with my hands and keep it in back in cage.Iit was so difficult to catch it,and finally i catch it,was so afraid,i was so sorry. How can i teach it to go in back in the cage, without trying to catch it?

  • hi, you have a pretty and beautiful canary, by the way what kind of vegetable is in 0:50 part? Is it broccoli?

  • hola....dime como sacar ese color de pluma...

  • treat your bird!!!give him(her) some apple!!

  • the name Mango suits him perfectly and awesome vid XD

  • What a beautiful bird! (:

    Cute name as well ;)

  • Unless you are breeding them; You have to let them know to stop pulling out feathers if they are trying to go into molt stage. Say no, and walk away. They stop. Their eating habits change as they get 3 years old. They don't eat as much or often.

  • Each Canary identifies with their own color. They hate the light after 9 P.M. And raises the dickens if I turn on a light after 9 P.M. LOL They love TV and music. They get chili easily and need to be covered if you have them sitting near a window or air-conditioner. more

  • Thanks for putting this down. I'm eventually getting myself one sometime in the near future.

  • Isso ai e a mistura de tico tico X canario belga....

  • Gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous!

    <3

  • Red factor canary food!!!! any pet shop has it..

  • IT looks so "wow, Im free, Im happy"... Beatufiul canary

  • beautiful canary

  • I finally got my own Red factor Canary last year by the way. I got him in VA beach Virginia (2 hrs from me). He is awesome! Your bird, this video, was the factor, lol,,that led me to my bird....thank you so much....red factors are beautiful!!!!

  • Wow! you're bird is awesome!

  • is a very beautiful bird..

  • i never keep my bird in his cage :) i have a playpin for him i keep ontop of his cage and he plays on it all day! Sometimes he comes to visit me on the couch or walks down my stairs to visit me when im on the computer! i have a cockateil

  • I used to have a female cockatiel that would get pissed if I didn't let her out lol. She'd constantly pace back and forth on her perch making the most annoying whistle lol. Especially if I had food or something, man she'd go crazy if I didn't let her eat any of my fries or chicken (she liked the breading on the chicken). I also taught her how to whistle along to some cartoon called "Ed, Edd N Eddy" lmao. Good times :P

  • very pretty

  • my bird's name is 'Flying Dutchman' because he's allsow orange and ofcourse he flies ;D

  • oh it is so beautiful.......

  • How tame do they get?

  • I love to let my Canary named Twitter out, he loves to perch on high things and fly off of them, and he seems to sing louder when he's out of the cage!

  • Aww it's adorable! It's such a beautiful color as well. :D

  • such a beautyful canary colour!!

  • its a girl right?

  • What a lovely color! So beautiful!

  • i want to let mine out of his cage, but i don't know if i'll be able to get him back in. has yours ever been a hassle to get back in the cage?

  • don't worry, he will get back to the cage to eat. if he doesn't, you can carry the cage close to him, then you get a bit far so you don't bother the canary, and wait until he gets in the cage to eat.

  • i have 2 canaries and 2 budgies theyr so nice an colorful and look nice together
