  • Awesome, I'm putting a '69 fastback together now. It's silver and I got a Tremec 3550 and a 3:50 gear in the rear.

  • Love these cars...Fam have always been big on Fords. Dad has 3 69 mach 1's all with the 429 cobra jets and an 03 mach 1...

Then the baby I want to own one day, 68 Shelby GT500 ;D

  • well...i love this Mach 1!!

  • beauty! you do need a little longer stretch of road though...

  • Nice sec gear scratch!!! and that cam makes it perfect ...

  • My dad had one of these only jade green and a manual transmission. No shaker or spoiler. It was a demo car that somehow ended up with the 428 SCJ motor. He thought it was too much motor for the car. He broke the rear end shackle twice and blew apart second gear syncro. After that the dealership cut his warranty card up and threw it away. lol Beautiful car.

  • 9R02R13xxxx

    YEA BABY!!!

  • What a beauty

  • WOO WEE ...i have a 1969 mustang mach 1 with a 428 supercobrajet engine...gonna buy some new heads for the engine its gonna be a screamer

  • :O

  • thats the thing, he WONT sell it..hes had offers in the thousands in the condition its in now and he still wont part with it...

  • oh i know, ive seen pictures of when it was new..it would knock your eyes out man..its such a waste

  • my uncle had one..now its sadly rotting away in the yard..ugh

  • @rooty83 That is so sad. These cars were meant to be driven.

  • @rooty83 how much would he sell it for?

  • Nice car.. I wish my uncle had kept his, he just sold it a few years ago. He had a 69 Mach 1, black, rear louvre's, spoiler, shaker hood SCJ 428 4 speed with drag pack 4.30 gears. Car only had 19,000 original miles on it, and a couple from canada basically stole the car from him..

  • i love the slipping tires after shifting to second gear!:) though it s an automatic...

i have never driven any automatic car, and i can t imagine how to drive one 'sporty'.

i would one with manual gearbox

    off topic: DEISEL POWER!!!:D

  • i want a mach I they are so bad ass

  • Skip the all show "burnout" shit, feather the throttle out of the hole and make it accelerate as fast as it can. With that meager showing getting 2nd it's not like the rubber does not hook for the power on hand

  • lol this is in PA, ganger mtn and home depot i know where he is!

  • Dearborn is AWAKE again..And I can't wait!! 5.0!!!!

  • nice car. i got one just lik it.

  • I love how he backs up at the end of the street just so he can burn 'em off all the way down it!

Nice to see people beating on those cars still. That's what they're for.

  • My dream car driving away...... *sighs* well I guess I need to find one

  • Chirping in 2nd gear thats what I like to hear. Thank you for driving that car the way it should be driven

  • Amazing the 69 Mach 1 with Cobra jet engine is my fave car nice vid dude

  • is that a 460?

  • @berniball, no thats a 428 Cobra Jet. The 428 is an FE series big block, and is not related to the 429/460 big block engines

  • i didnt know im not big on fords

  • @kjfordracing55: And the 429/460 was the 385 series. The only difference between the 429/460 was the crank (stroke)! Same block so everything is interchangable.

  • @lander4545 ya thats right i couldnt remember the name of the 385 series off the top of my head

  • Power of the Cobra.

  • i'm fan !!!!

    enjoy !!

    this is my love !!!

  • Absolutely Awesome! Best Wishes!

  • Wow very nice Mach 1!

  • come on no power braking that thing. you should have plenty of torque to light those tires up..

  • the most beautyful muscle car in the world

  • ya see, you simply cant do this with a Ricer. that looks like a Dog is draggin its tail over the Ground! XD!

  • nice Mach 1! It reminds me of my dad's Im going to get a new shell from Dynocorn and put the new Romeo 5.4L supercharged V8 in it with a Height's Independent Rear Suspension

  • its alot easyer thin tryin to get at the plugs of a 351c trust me.

  • The '69 - '70 Mustangs have narrower engine compartments than the '71 - '73's and even the '79 - '93's, which are wider than the other 2 generations! This surprised me. I measured all 3 of those gen's.

My '72 Fastback is pretty easy to get at the plugs though, both with a 351-C or a 460, which is now has. The '69 - '70's are the best looking generation, but they suck to work on sometimes. My '72 is a breeze by comparison.

  • And just try to get at the spark plugs?

  • Dude that is WICKED sick! : ) Take care of that beast!

  • 0 to Gander Mountain in 5 seconds lol

  • manuals are way more fun to drive

  • Love Automatics. NO MISTAKES Burn baby Burn!

  • too bad its an automatic

  • i have one of these with a vintage 1967 ford nascar racing motor in it with 600hp

  • i love the sound of these old mustang engines.. i wish i could get that on my 08 stang..

  • The Ford engineers are trying!

  • just get a solid lifter conversion.

  • im buildin a 69. aha its got open Headers right now... soo mean soundin... cant hear yourself think when you're in it. great

  • My uncle has the same car. 69, jet black, fastback, mach 1, 428 cobrajet, "R" Type.

I pray to god as one of his few nephews and no kids i get it one day : /

  • I believe that this particular mustang is the famous "R" code if correct and these are very rare and will bring six figures easily. My dad recently performed a frame-off resto on one similar to this one. The man shipped it all the way from California... and we live in North Carolina. I guess word travels far!

  • Got the came car except its a 351c. great cars.

  • Really beautiful and powerful car. If Al Gore had his way, these babies would be extinct.

  • BEAUTIFUL CAR!!!!! I have a 69 Grande. Love driving it even with only the 2-bbl 351. I can't even imagine it with over 100 more horses and lb-ft of torque.

  • very nice car! love mach 1s

  • very nice...

  • The ability to produce bone-crushing torque at 2000-ish RPM. Try THAT with a Honda.

  • Comment removed

  • exactly, the years I like & the kings of the Muscle Cars were the '69 & '70's 'Stangs

  • As soon as you hear the carburetor open, the back tires are up in flames. Period. That's low-end torque, baby!

  • sexy

  • If it had the Magnum 500 rims, it would be perfect.

  • I agree!

  • excellent car my favourite a bugger to restore though

  • BAD-ASS

  • nice wat cam are you running in it

  • Love it!

  • now thats a man car

  • Love that sound!!!

  • ive got the same exact car but with a 351 windsor

  • had a 70 428 mustang money can't buy that anymore!

  • ya you can.....piece by piece

  • consistant stripes! excellent sound.

  • nice second gear chirps!

  • oh!- i love that car!!!!!!!!!

  • beatiful car! ill take two! lol

  • Thats a nice car man! Its a-shame you have got to power brake it though

  • You a smart dude.

Power Braking keeps you from dumping the clutch at high rpm and breaking something in the driveline. Besides a 428CJ with almost 400 ft lb of torque really doesnt need a power brake anyway.

  • ALMOST 400 ft lb of torque? Dude, Cobra Jets came with a minimum of 440 pure stock - and this one does not sound pure stock. Its probably pushing closer to 500 ft-lb than 400.

  • Beautiful. Enjoy that car! I've always loved loved Mach 1s, old and new, and yours is a beauty.

  • I have 69 silver jade 428-CJ mach-1. I strongely suggest you replace those crappy polyglas tires for T/A radials for better traction and for safety. I did and what a difference!!

  • the tires are for show. i got a set of BFGs used for regular driving, and the polyglass' are for shows.(more original)

  • Good move. If I had room in the garage, I would've done the same. I have manual steering on my CJ. Much easier to turn with radials than Polygas. Thanks for the video brother CJ :)

  • I stumbled on my '69 in Texas, bought it for $1550 with no drivetrain, interior & needed restored. She's rust free & is a rolling shell with the dash & steering column. When I was bringing it home, my cousin ran the numbers & called me & said I had a Drag Pack car. 428CJ, 4spd, 4.30 gears, red exterior & black interior. I pulled over looked at the sky & thanked god for my dream come true, kissed my Mach 1 & said I luv ya baby! Oh, by the way. She ain't for sale until I die! Good luck.....

  • nice car

  • my dad has a 428 cj mach 1 with a factory

    4-speed

    nice car

  • a lot of people doubt our mach 1 is a stock 351W cuz it has a shaker and is from 69. but my dad bought it new so ha! thats an amazing car.

  • my dad had a 351 shaker too. but he totaled it 6 months after he got it in 1970. hydroplaned and hit a tree doin about 50. the shakers are rare cars.. well any '69 thats still in one piece is a rare car. i just wish i could afford a mach!

  • my dads sucked in water in the block in 81 i think. most likely cuz a mechanic pinched the shaker drain hose right before a 3day rainstorm-had to drain the carb. not the guys fault tho. but its finally gettin back in running condition real soon.

  • Beautiful car !

    Awesome power !
