@danturner1234 I totally agree with you about Biffy being 1 million times the musicians, etc etc - I'm practically obsessed by them. But to stick up[ for Cardle (there's a first time for everything), he was powerless when it came to the single release. He kept saying that he desperately didn't want to release a cover, but by the xfactor rules he had to - it was in his contract for the show. So we should probably cut him some slack. But yeah, compared to the biff, his version blows.

@thommosam i believe he may do too, but i'm not him, and this is the way i play it, i used the powerchords to make it sound fatter and different to the original as its only a cover, not an exact copy. because, what would be the excitement in watching someone do exactly the same thing as simon neil? i dont have an amazing beard for starters...

i have this same guitar and at first i dont really like how it sounds when it's brand new but once u break it in it sounds really nice because when it's new it sounds like i dont know how to explain it i guess it sounds country like.... like it sounds like a guitar you would play in country music which i really hate but after a short while fo playing it, it sounds more like idk... i guess i could sayy alternative?? im really not sure but yeah haha

e flat tuning with the E string tuned down another whole step to c#

@Errelsoft again, i prefer not to do that, the shapes are easier with just standard e flat tuning because your fingers are in a line. its much easier.

@Errelsoft also, i wouldnt recommend doing that, because e flat tuning is easier to do than dropped c# tuning. so, if you know how to do it, then fine, use it. but for anybody unsure about tuning, use e flat. my personal advice is to use e flat.

It was merely a comment on someone who was nitpicking on the tuning and then continued by posting a wrong tuning himself. E flat works perfectly fine :-) So does drop D by the way if you play all the notes half a step down.

@loocomooco1 thanks, there should be another biffy cover up by the end of today :L :) its easy enough to learn if you can get your fingerpicking sorted out. when i started playing i was useless at it, but you need to get that nailed or otherwise it sounds shocking :L but other than that yeahh :) its fairly easy :)

by semi acoustic, i meant that half of it was done in electric, some of it was done acoustically. however, the acoustic was put through an amp aswell, so technically, it can be classed as semi acoustic.
