  • They are our Uralic Brothers... Greetingd from Turkey / Turkiye!!!

  • 0:55 made me laugh soooo much :D :D

  • Once I was in Nizhnevartovsk and saw the Khantys (or those might have been the Mansis). I liked the traditional dresses the women were wearing.Beautiful.

  • beautiful dances, beautiful music, beautiful people. whats the point arguing or even discussing: european, asian, hungarian , not hungarian? we will all die and the bones are gonna be white. and when we are resurrected on the Judgement Day, the colour of our skin, the language we used to speak, the place we lived on the Earth-all this will not matter at all. Lord doesnt look at our faces, He looks at our deeds.

  • Looks like the fancy shawl dance of the native america

  • I say that they took from us because the hungarians were and are many more as these people were ever. I don't belive that we have a common origin only some common features because there might be a kind of mixing between us but this is only partial and not general.

  • @hirajem The Hungarian and Khanti languages have the same origin. This is a fact, and a fact established by science a fact proven by correspondances in words and sound alternations. What you "beleive" is rather irrelevant.

  • @gorgeous800 I see you belive in the same origine most more as I don't belive in that. Or you have some interest to belive so deeply.

  • @hirajem yes actually, i am being paid to believe in the Khanti Hungarian relationship. I gotta tell you I make enormous amounts of money.

  • @gorgeous800 What??? An official liar???

  • @hirajem seems like understanding irony requires intelligence. never mind

  • I have no problems with khanty people but I think they are not relatives with hungarians as some historians say. We have not common geneticaly origin and the hungarian language is very far from this language. I can understand neither a word from khanty when I hear. Only the sounding of numbers are similar. Probably the two people met somwhere under the age of history and they took from us some element from our language and mixed to their language.

  • gypsy romanian go to india!

  • Just because one or two brainless ultra-nationalist asshole as like you could ask something.

  • what type of pupet dance are they doing ?sounds kinda kiddish at least I think. Siberian are cool im from russia

  • Dear Slovak and Rumanian friends! You can find no end of Hungarian folkmusic and dance videos even here on youtube, so please run your eyes over (at least) one of them, before you write any crap about it... There's nothing more identical in this with the Hungarian dance and music then with the Slovak, Rumanian, Celtic or Spanish... and the Hungarian folklore has much more similarity with the neighbouring nations (vice versa of course), that goes without saying.

  • This music sounds European to my ears and ancient rooted. These people look racially white too. Question is how they wound up in this remote place and when did this migration take place?

  • They look kind of in between White and Asian, and they vary quite a bit. I believe they are an old core European type that has mixed with Nenets a bit. Some Khanty does look very Asian, but most doesn't.

Olga the main performer isn't Khanty, by the way.

Here you can se how they really look - some are blond, some are dark.

Well, I couldn't find the video I wanted to show, maybe it has been removed?

  • ps here's some Mansi doing the same thing:

  • Looks identical with hungarian folk dance... there is definitely a strong link between these people and hungarians. I think they have emerged from Hungary then migrated and settled in nothern siberia... LMAO!!!

  • tényleg vártad hogy értesz valamit nyelvükből? Német az anyanyelvem és ha svéd beszédet hallok élő szóban egy szót se értek. Ráadásul a manysi-khanty és magyar közti rokonság igen távoli.

  • hasonlóan zeng nyelvük a magyarral, mégse érthető abszolut semmi

  • awesome !

  • very good

  • The Mansis call this boat-like zither sankviltap.

  • How are musical instruments named? Is it a type of kantele? As far as are they ancient?

  • beautiful !!!

  • Nice !
