  • the last 200 years of humanity is pretty much needless war and killing. think of how things would be if the money spent on war was spent on peace. just 10% of americas annual arms spendings could save alot of the worlds problems. imagine if all the worlds governments and militaries put in all they had for the cause of prosperity, even 25% would do great things beyond imagination.

  • our ancestors would be ashamed if they knew what we are now, that is why i cry. we let them down.

  • Our ancestors ... just imagine an African mother and her baby being abducted, separated from the father and sent from Africa to trading posts (some in my native country, Brazil) to be slaved? Many died horribly during the ocean crossings. Not to mention what happened to our Native peoples. Our ancestors ... We are still going out there and doing what our ancestors did. Better say 'I/we are ashamed' instead.

  • Some 4 hour after my reply to Dwazzle - Yes, I am sad, frustrated n angry that my whole life I have struggled with 'someone else's' wars. But my own feelings are a 2nd layer of hurt now. Must perceive things beyond this immediacy to get to Forgiveness. A new take on Love. A question about my Faith.

  • very cool. peaceful and violent at the same time. sulk in caos and pray the end is near the world today makes me cry myself to sleep

  • Thanks for stopping by. Remember we've always got eachother, and even when you cry yourself to sleep the sun comes up. :)

  • where/what is this?

  • I don't know what to say... It makes you cry...

    Where is this taking place?

  • It is footage from a bomb-camera deployed from a USAF bomb in Iraq. The original footage is slowed down (trememdnously). Apparently the pilot fires the bomb into a crowd of civilians. On the original footage you even hear one of the pilots chuckle and say "Oh, dude..." As the people are blown away.

  • that was a f16 that was actually firing on a mob of people that were going to ransack and kill the remaining survivors of a helicopter crash there are full videos of this incident on liveleak

  • A 'mob'? I have to look for the right meaning of 'mob'.

  • a mob as in going to stone the remaining survivors mob. group of people if you want then the main point is they were going to kill a downed helicopters crew

  • ps i am sure the US doesn't fire missiles into crowds of civilians. you must be confusing with the radical islamists blowing up cars in markets with crowds of civilians now that actually happens on a weekly basis and not by accident.

  • I know what a 'mob' is now. Peace and Love and Light to you. Good-bye!

  • and peace be with you too

  • YES, THANK YOU! These are very chalenging times for we all.

  • It's just too much pain. We are all suffering. I remember crying when I saw the Berlin wall collapsing. I thought we would finally be in peace and progress. All of us. But there's some thing called 'inner peace' (though not easy to achieve). OK to call me a dreamer. All the best to you!

  • 'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will swell, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'

  • THANK YOU AGAIN!! Your posting heals. There's the inherent goodness in all of us. Remarkable exps. w/ people @ countries I visited while on the Merchant Marine, England first. 15 years in the US and I only believe it, even more now. Yes, the mystic chords n the better angels of our nature - I want to accept events, bitter ones n sweet ones, as my personal lessons. Your posting is a sweet one, and I am learning, OldBananas9! :) THANK YOU AGAIN!! I won't forget you! TimelessBananas9 :)

  • who you are today is shaped from those bitter and sweet event throughout your life and how you learn from each one of them. as e. hoffer and r neibuhr said, "The remarkable thing is that we really love our neighbor as ourselves: we do unto others as we do unto ourselves. We hate others when we hate ourselves. We are tolerant toward others when we tolerate ourselves. We forgive others when we forgive ourselves."

  • and with that said and listening to this music in the background Nothing worth doing is completed in our lifetime, Therefore, we are saved by hope. Nothing true or beautiful or good makes complete sense in any immediate context of history; Therefore, we are saved by faith.

  • Nothing we do, however virtuous, can be accomplished alone. Therefore, we are saved by love.

    No virtuous act is quite a virtuous from the standpoint of our friend or foe as from our own;

Therefore, we are saved by the final form of love which is forgiveness

  • Wow! What a pleasure to follow your line of thoughts! It's hitting home here. I had turned my pc on earlier to continue browsing on Youtube's Buddhism ... had no idea of what it would bring. I was asking for it. Thank you for the package! Thinking about the not-so-hidden meanings of this. YES!

  • Amazing, I have felt the music background, too, as at service to the almost hypnotic moment when good n bad lost distinctions. Ha, 'saved by hope' - recently I have felt that it was all that I was left with. I dreamed of a new me when my son was born n I quit sailing to be a real present father, 25 years ago. Now it's about their future kids, etc. N I do have crisis of faith. A lesson here!

  • I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. What god desires is heart and and by what you decide to do every day, you will be a good man. Or not.

  • WOW! Oh my God, it feels like I bumped on to you in one of the places I used to go and light would explode. Then, suddenly I would take in the immense feeling that no body was different at the core. I am so grateful that I learned English as a young teen, a passion I had 'without knowing why then'.

  • Tried to send my email add. n could not! I'm sorry, we have to stay in the virtual space. But new fruits n their seeds are in the basket already. Many thanks!
